Spellbinders January 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month | Sending Love

Hello, crafty friends!
I have two Valentine's Cards to share today featuring the Spellbinders Clear Stamp Set of the Month - Sending Love. If you haven't heard about the Clear Stamp of the Month Club by Spellbinders, you can go over to the Spellbinders blog and read more about it HERE

The Spellbinders Clear Stamp for January includes 6 different hearts – two of which have sentiments inside them – and a Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment stamp. The stamp set coordinates with the other Spellbinders Club Kits for this month, so you can mix and match your supplies to create different projects. This “Sending Love” stamp set features made in the USA stamps from high-quality photo-polymer for clear, crisp impressions.

I have made two cards using this stamp set, so without further ado, let's get started:

For my first card, I first pulled out a White Card Base - Top Fold from Spellbinders' NEW The Card Shoppe range. These are made from high quality Neenah Classic Crest 80# Cover Solar White Paper and are SO good! I layered a panel of Gold Mirror Cardstock followed by Light Pink Cardstock, and then again a panel of White Cardstock. I always like matting my card panels as they provide visual interest and create for a study card base.

I have used the 'Color Blocking' technique on this card in order to highlight the heat embossed image. To do so, I first die cut four square pieces from four different sheets of Pink Cardstock and adhered them to my panel using foam squares for dimension. Then, I stamped one of the patterned hearts from the Sending Love Stamp Set in Embossing Ink and heat embossed it using Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder. I fussy cut the heart and then added it to my card panel using foam dots.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I simply stamped it on a strip of White Cardstock using Licorice Black Ink and popped it over on to the heat embossed heart using foam tape.

I added a couple of tiny hearts die cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock as the finishing touch for my card.

Moving on to my second card for today which again features the Sending Love Stamp Set and a couple of other  Spellbinders dies.

To begin, I took a piece of Canson Montval Watercolor Cardstock and lightly ink blended the bottom of the panel using Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick.  Once, I was happy with the way it looked, I stenciled several little hearts on the top half of the panel using the same ink colours.

I then die cut a rectangle using the medium rectangle outer rim from the Elegant Twisted Rectangles Die Set from Silver Glitter Cardstock and glued it down to my panel using liquid adhesive. I also die cut a circle using the medium circle die from the Hemstitch Circles Die Set from Vellum Paper and attached it to my panel using glue dots.

I stamped two different patterned heart designs from the Sending Love Stamp Set in Embossing Ink and heat embossed it using Super Fine White Embossing Powder. I coloured the hearts using Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick and then fussy cut them and popped them on my card panel using foam dots for dimension. The sentiment was also heat embossed in white on a strip of Black Cardstock and attached over the hearts using foam squares. I added a few clear sequins as the finishing touch for my card.

Congrats | Card

Hello, everyone!
I have a card to share today which I created for the Altenew A Year in Review Challenge. I am slowly getting my mojo back and decided to create a card for the challenge. Here's a look at what I created :

You can see the gray stenciling more closely here.

To create my card, I first die-cut a card panel using one of my Gina Marie Designs die. I then stenciled on the panel using the Heidi Swapp Square Lattice stencil using Hickory Smoke Distress ink.
Then, I started to work on the focal of my card. I used the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set to stamp all the flowers and leaves. The flowers were stamped using the Altenew Red Cosmos inks. For the outermost layer, I decided to heat-emboss them using some gold embossing powder. I coloured the leaves using Hickory Smoke Distress ink. Once this was done, I fussy-cut all the images and popped them on some foam tape for dimension. I also added a tiny flower from the Altenew Vintage Flowers set. For the sentiment, I used the Altenew Sentiment & Quotes set which was also gold heat embossed. I added few Nuvo Drops in shades of pink to finish off my card!

I am playing along with Therese's Challenge from the month of August. I haven't worked with this colour combination before & was really happy to try it out.

That's it for today, I hope you like my card. I would love to hear your views on it!

Have a nice day everyone!

Christmas Card | One

Hello friends!
I'm back today to share a Christmas card I made recently. I don't usually work with such stamps often, but I am glad I finally gave them a try. Here's a look at what I came up with :

To create this card, I took a A2 sized white card panel and did some Distress ink blending using shades of blue to do the night sky. Then using the Heidi Swapp Confetti stencil and white embossing paste by Wendy Vecchi, I created the falling snow. I added some white glitter to the paste when it was wet to give it some extra shimmer. Next, I die-cut the snowy hills using a die by MFT and added some Ranger Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter to the edge using Glossy Accents. This gives a beautiful snow-like effect and adds more dimension to your project.
Now for the main focal of my card, I stamped and coloured the images from the Mudra Santa & Friends set on watercolour paper using Faber Castell watercolour pencils. I fussy-cut the images and added them on some foam dots. I stamped the sentiment on the base of my card. Finally I die-cut the stenciled background using a scalloped rectangle frame from MFT and added it to my card base.

I'm entering my card in Winter Wonderland - Frame it/Night Scene, My Time to Craft - Christmas Animals, Crafty Catz - Christmas in Non-traditional Colours and QKR Stampede - Non-Traditional Christmas Colors

I hope you liked my card. Please do leave me your comments/suggestions below. I would love to hear what you think.

Have a nice day everyone!

Sending you loads of love | Card

Hi, crafty friends!
I have a card to share today I made for the Mudra October Challenge inspiration. I had a lot of fun creating it. Here's a look at my card :

I have used the Mudra Daisy Blooms set for the flowers which have been heat-embossed in white & fussy-cut, and Mudra Raksha Bandhan Sketches set for the sentiment. Added a gold glitter die-cut frame for some sparkle and shine to the card. The background has been stenciled using a Heidi Swapp stencil. Also, I added few clear droplets to finish off my card :)

Linking my card to Paru's Card Making Challenges - Add a hint of Gold, Lulupu - Bling ding with a stamping twist, Just Add ink - Add 'G' ( I have used a Gold Glitter frame) & Simon Says Stamp - Totally Resistible

Have a good day everyone!
