Spellbinders September 15th Clubs Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hello, crafty friends!
I'm so happy to be joining Spellbinders for the September 2021 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. Spellbinders is celebrating all their Club Kits in shop for September 2021.

If you arrived here from Ilina Crouse's Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

I have a layered card to share today for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – September 2021 Die of the Month Set. In case you missed, it I shared a Stand-Up Card on my blog a few days ago using this month's "Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register" Set, which you can check out HERE.

The Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register is a wonderful set of sixteen dies and it features a vintage cash register as well as wonderful dimension, and folds flat like all of the 3D Vignettes, so that it can be easily sent through the mail.

I have used the Pop Up 3D Vignette Die Set to create an A7 card, however the die set offers endless possibilities and can be used for 3D projects as well. You can also use the Pop Up 3D Vignette Set to make the traditional cash register and stock it with gift cards, create a basket from both facades, or even create a mini album with a cash register on the front and back for children to record their savings.

To create my card, I first die cut all the different die pieces of the house in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register from Cream Cardstock, Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock, Gold Mirror Cardstock, and Graphite Cardstock using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. Next, I cut a watercolor patterned paper to size and adhered it to my card panel using Journey Craft Glue.

I assembled the cash register together following Becca's How-To Video and adhered all the little pieces on the die cut Cash Register piece using Journey Craft Glue and Foam Squares - Small.  Next, I lightly sanded the raised edges of the die cut pieces to distress it. This really makes the delicate details pop!

The dainty flowers and leaves were die cut from Snowdrift Cardstock using a combination of dies included in the Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Die Set. I coloured the floral die cut pieces using an array of Distress inks - Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Abandoned Coral.  The leaves were coloured using Shabby Shutters Distress ink. I embossed each of the die cut pieces using the small ball tip from the Ultimate Tool Kit and then added pearl finish pollens to the centres of the flowers. I adhered them to my card front using Journey Craft Glue. The sentiment piece is a part of the Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register die set. There are four different sentiment pieces included in the set, so you can pick and choose whichever one you like best for your project.

To assemble, I matted the background panel with layers of Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding ivory card base with liquid adhesive. This is such a remarkable die set and a must-have if you love all things vintage! What do you think?

Spellbinders July'21 Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hello, crafty friends!
I'm so happy to be joining Spellbinders for the July 2021 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. Spellbinders is celebrating all their Club Kits in shop for July 2021.

If you arrived here from Kathy Clement's Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

I have a layered card to share today for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – July 2021 Die of the Month Set.

The Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home is a gorgeous set of twenty one dies and it features a house as well as wonderful dimension, and folds flat like all of the 3D Vignettes, so that it can be easily sent through the mail.

I have used the Mini Vignette Die Set to create an A7 card, however the die set offers endless possibilities and can be used for 3D projects as well as for multiple card sizes, including Slimline cards. You can also use different parts of the die such as the facade for the leading layer of the house or the tiny flower and foliage dies in the set and create something completely new using them. The Mini Vignette house can hold your favorite pictures, a multipage note, or sweet nothings on the three panels that rest inside.

For my card, I first die cut all the different die pieces of the house in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home from Cream Cardstock, Gold Mirror Cardstock, Waterfall Cardstock, and Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. Then, I die cut Waterfall Cardstock using the Pattern Rectangle 1 Die from the Candlewick Classics Rectangles Etched Dies.

I assembled the house together following Becca's How-To Video and adhered all the little pieces on the die cut rectangle piece using Journey Craft Glue and Foam Squares - Small.  The Die Set is designed to help you create a 3D Vignette Home, but you can use it to create a 2D piece for your card front as well. I always admire how Becca puts in so much thought behind her die designs. This one is no exception too!

The petite flowers and leaves were die cut from Alabaster and Fern Cardstock pieces. I embossed the die cut pieces using the small ball tip from the Ultimate Tool Kit and then added gold glitter balls to the centres of the flowers. I adhered them to my card front using Journey Craft Glue. The sentiment piece is a part of the Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home die set and I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Cardstock behind the message insert to help the letters shine. The decorative options are endless in this set to make it your home sweet home!

To assemble, I matted the die cut background panel with layers of Cream Cardstock, Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock, and Gold Mirror Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding ivory card base with liquid adhesive. This month's Die Set really had me smiling from ear to ear. It's so darling and pretty! What do you think?

Spellbinders August 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hello, crafty friends!
I'm ecstatic to be joining Spellbinders for the August 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. Spellbinders is celebrating all their Club Kits in shop for August 2020.
If you arrived here from the talented, Jean Manis' Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

I have made a Pop Up 3D Vignette Telephone Card for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – August Die of the Month. In case you missed, it I shared a Card on my blog few days ago using this month's "Pop Up 3D Vignette Telephone" Set, which you can check out HERE.
Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership
The dies for Spellbinders Monthly Clubs are exclusive to Spellbinders and you won't find them anywhere else. If you want to find out more about the Club – prices, how you sign up and what’s included, please look ——–> HERE. These dies are only available through the Club and are limited to the month of August, so hurry before they are sold out.

There are SIX dies included in the Telephone Set to help you create a wide variety of projects like: a Pop Up 3D Card, a Shaker Card, a Shaped Card, a Mini Scrapbook Album (upto 4 pages), a Gift Card Holder and more.
I have used this die set to create a 3D Vignette Card.

To start off, I die cut all the different shapes and panels needed to make my 3D card using Buttercream Cardstock. I also cut some of the coordinating elements from Gold Mirror Cardstock. Once I had everything die-cut, I assembled my Card following THIS video by Becca Feeken. It's really simple and easy to follow!

I die cut all my receiver panels from Buttercream Cardstock, while the handset caps, I die cut them from Gold Mirror Cardstock.

To embellish my first receiver panel, I die cut the sentiment 'Tis the Season' from Gold Mirror Cardstock using the sentiment die from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies. I added a mini floral embellishment at the top to add more interest. The flowers are created using the poinsettia die from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies, while the leaves are from a previous Card Kit die.

I embellished my second receiver panel using the 'Joy' die-cut sentiment from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies, which was cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock. I also adhered a mini snowflake embellishment at the top to accentuate it. The flower is die cut from the poinsettia die from the same die set, while the snowflake is from the Snowflake Splendor Etched Dies. I inked the flower using dye ink and added a pink jewel to the centre to give it a more finished look.

For my third panel, I kept things more simple. I added a hot foiled border strip from the Christmas Sweater Borders Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Next, I die cut the sentiment from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies from Cranberry Bliss Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and then adhered one over the other for dimension.

My last and final receiver panel has some quick and simple embellishments. I die cut the snowflake from the Snowflake Splendor Etched Dies using Gold Mirror Cardstock, while the flowers are die cut from the poinsettia die from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies. I added some die cut leaves to complete the look.

For the dial, I again used Buttercream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock to die cut the pieces. Once I was done adhering down all the numbers in the rotary dial, I added a stamped sentiment piece to the centre, for which I used Rich Coral Ink. I also added a few die cut flowers and leaves around the dial to accentuate it.

The flowers are die cut using the same poinsettia die that I used on my receiver panels, which is from the Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies. I inked all of them and embossed the petals using an Embossing Ball Tool. Then, I added flat back jewels in the centres for more interest. Lastly, I added a die-cut bow from the Holly Frame Gala Etched Dies to complete my card.

Spellbinders July 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hello, crafty friends!
I'm so happy and honoured to be joining Spellbinders for the July 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. Spellbinders is celebrating all their Club Kits in shop for July 2020. If you arrived here from the talented, Varada's Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

I have made a Gatefold Card for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – July Die of the Month. In case you missed, it I shared a Card on my blog few days ago using this month's "Fanfare" Set, which you can check out HERE.
Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership

The dies for Spellbinders Monthly Clubs are exclusive to Spellbinders and you won't find them anywhere else. If you want to find out more about the Club – prices, how you sign up and what’s included, please look ——–> HERE. These dies are only available through the Club and are limited to the month of July, so hurry before they are sold out.

I wanted to create something different and unique using the Fanfare Set, so I came up with the idea of creating a Gatefold Card. The main delicate oval filigree pattern die in the Fanfare Set is so elegant and I simply loved creating with it. Here's a look at my Card:

To create my card, I first took a piece of Buttercream Cardstock measuring 12" X 12" and trimmed it to 12" X 5". Next, I took the oval filigree pattern die from the Fanfare Set and die cut it using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine to create the flaps for my card. I used the partial die-cutting technique for doing so and I scored the flaps at 3 1/2" on either side to create the Gate Fold Card pattern.

Once my basic Card structure was in place, I started working on the insides of the Card. I trimmed two different patterned papers to use inside my card, which is from the DCWV Blush Patterned Paper Stack. I also used two mat layers of Brush Gold Cardstock before adhering the patterned papers in order to accentuate the look. I adhered them all down to my base using the Journey Craft Glue.

Next, I die cut the oval filigree die included in the Fanfare Set from Brush Gold Cardstock and snipped it in two to add to the flaps. I off-set them before adhering them in order to add some interest to my design. For my belly band, I used the Papericious Vellum Paper to create a sturdy band to keep my card together.

To embellish it, I die cut a circle from the Elegant Twist Circled Etched Dies from Gold Mirror Cardstock and Buttercream Cardstock, and adhered the two together to create a small base for my floral spray. I die cut the flower petals from the Sweet Cottage Flower Etched Dies using Deckle Edged Paper. I inked the layers using Distress Wild Honey Spray Stain and added a sparkle self-adhesive drop to the centre for a more complete look.

I also die cut some filler flowers using the flower dies in the Fanfare Set. I die cut those as well from White Deckle Edged Paper and inked them using Distress Spray Stains in Abandoned Coral and Spun Sugar. I added cream wire pollens to the centres of the small flowers and tucked them in beside my main flower.

The leaves and foliage were die cut using the dies included in the  Sweet Cottage Flower Etched Dies using Deckle Edged Paper. I used Distress Twisted Citron Spray Stain to colour them. I really enjoyed creating this card and hope you like it too!

Spellbinders May 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!
I'm super excited and honoured to be joining Spellbinders for the May 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. If you arrived here from, Carrie Rhoades' Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

I have made TWO project for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – May Die of the Month. In case you missed, it I shared a Card on my blog few days ago using this month's Fleur de Lis Grandeur Fold Over, which you can check out HERE.
The dies for Spellbinders Monthly Clubs are exclusive to Spellbinders and you won't find them anywhere else. If you want to find out more about the Club – prices, how you sign up and what’s included, please look ——–> HERE. These dies are only available through the Club and are limited to the month of May, so hurry before they are sold out.
Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership
My first project is a Slimline Card featuring the Amazing Paper Grace – May Die of the Month.

To create this card, I first took a piece of Buttercream Cardstock and die cut three square motif pieces using the decorative square die included in the set using my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I also die cut it thrice from Gold Mirror Cardstock as I wanted to offset the pieces to add some interest to my design.

Once I adhered the pieces down to my card base using the Fun Stampers Journey Craft Glue, it was time to work on the embellishments. I wanted the dies to be the star of the show, so I kept my embellishments minimal. I die cut some flowers using the Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies from Color Splash Watercolor Sheets (I used the medium flower die to create my peony). Once they were die cut, I spritzed some water on the petals and used the Rustic Rose Ink Pad and Journey Medium Blending Brush to watercolor the flowers. Once that was done, I used Embossing Ball Tools and Groove Golf Tools to emboss and mould my flower petals. I colored a white styrofoam bud using Yellow Dye ink for my flower centre and added pollens to give it a more realistic look.

I repeated the same process for the mini filler flowers. I die cut them from one of the flower dies included in the Candlewick Edged Corners Die Set. Once they were die cut, I watercolored them using the Rustic Rose Ink Pad and added wire pollens to the centres to give it a fuller look. For my leaves, I used the leaf die included in the Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies. I die cut them from Color Splash Watercolor Sheets and used the Fresh Sage Ink Pad to watercolor them in order to get this pale green colour. I also tucked in some golden foliage pieces to complete my floral arrangement.

I die cut a banner from Whip Cream Cardstock and stamped my sentiment onto it using the Black Licorice Ink Pad. I adhered this to my panel using foam dots. Then, I mounted my card panel to a piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock which I finally adhered to my card base. This is my second Slimline Card ever and I love the way it turned out!

My next project is a Gift Basket I made using the Fleur de Lis Grandeur Fold Over Die of the Month from Amazing Paper Grace. I love creating my own handmade gifts and this month's die was perfect for creating one.

This gift basket was quite simple to put together. To start with, I die cut the main 6" die from Whip Cream Cardstock. I die cut this twice to create the basic framework of my basket. Once die cut, I used the score lines present in the die cuts to fold and create the shape of the basket. I attached the two pieces together in order to create my basket. Once that was done, I die cut the die from Gold Mirror Cardstock. I added the pieces at all the four sides of the basket in order to add some interest to my design.

Next, it was time to work on my handle. I used one of the decorative ribbon dies from the Shadow Box Ribbon Threader Etched Dies to create it. I die cut two pieces from Whip Cream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock respectively and adhered the two together to create my handle. I also die cut the decorative accents included in the set from Gold Mirror Cardstock and added them to either side of the handle to give it a more finished look.

To embellish the basket, I again used a handmade peony flower and some foliage. I used the same flower die that I used for my Slimline Card as well - Cottage Flowers Etched Dies. To colour the flower die cuts, I used the Rustic Rose Ink Pad. I wanted my flower to have a soft, shabby chic look to it, so I smooshed the ink pad onto my Craft Sheet and spritzed some water to dilute the colour. This is how I achieved this pale pink colour. I also coloured my regular styrofoam bud and added thread pollens to the centre to give it a more natural look. By the way, can you notice the different looks you can achieve from a single flower die? Here, I didn't use my Groove Tools to shape it, and only lightly embossed the petals.

For the filler flowers, I used the Candlewick Edged Corners Die Set. I die cut them from White Cardstock and colored them using the left over ink colour from my peony flower that I had on my Craft Sheet. Then, I added wire pollens to the centres of the flowers. For my leaves, I used the leaf die included in the Sweet Cottage Flowers Etched Dies. I die cut them from White Cardstock again and coloured them using the Sage Ink Pad. I did add some water to the die cuts once they were all coloured to give it a more distressed look.

I adhered my floral spray to my handle and my basket was ready! I had so much fun creating it! This would be perfect to gift some chocolates, jewlery pieces, or anything you'd like to give to your dear ones. The intricate die design makes it looks so regal and beautiful!
