Pinkfresh Studio August 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!
It's release day at Pinkfresh Studio and we have an amazing blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's August 2020 Stamp and Die Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way. This blog hop is full of amazing projects showcased by all the guest designers and the design team.

We've got TONS of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

For today's hop, I have created two cards featuring the Sweet Blooms Stamp and Stencil Set. I also have some tags to share, which I created using an assortment of products from the August release, so let's just get right into it all!

The Sweet Blooms Stamp is a gorgeous background set that comes with a set of three coordinating stencils which work perfectly with the stamp. I love how the stamp & stencil combination offers so many possibilities. You may choose to simply ink the background stamp and use it as is, colour it, or use it with the coordinating stencil set.
My first card features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and Stencil Set along with the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp. I love combining my supplies whenever I am working on any project as it offers so many new possibilities. I started off by stamping the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my card panel using Detail Black ink. This is a hybrid ink, which means, you can use this ink with watercolor, water-based markers, and alcohol-based markers. I coloured the panel using Liquid Watercolours (Candy Apple, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry. Once dry, I added some very simple pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

Then, I took another panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 LBS Cardstock and stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on it using Peach Fuzz ink. Once that was done, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

I trimmed both the panels in half and popped them over to my card base using craft foam. This helped give it dimension and keep the panels in focus. I also adhered two strips of paper to make the seams of the panels look more flawless.

The die cut sentiment is from Lea's Ornate Uppercase Die Set and Lea's Ornate Lowercase Die Set. I die cut them from white cardstock and coloured the tips of the letters using Coral Reef ink. The rest of the sentiment is from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set. It was stamped using Detail Black ink on a strip of white cardstock which was then foam mounted for dimension. To complete my card, I added some clear sequins.

My second card for today also features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and the coordinating Stencil Set

For my card, I first heat embossed the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp using Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder on Canson Montval Watercolor Paper. Once that was done, I coloured the entire background using Liquid Watercolours (Aquamarine, Clementine, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry.

Once dry, I added some pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I also trimmed a piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it behind my card panel to add some interest to my design.

I wanted the die-cut sentiment to be the focal for my card, so I die cut the letters 'Hugs' from Heather's Lowercase Die Set from Black Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered them on to a strip of Vellum Cardstock. I tore the sides of the Vellum strip by hand to add extra visual interest to my design. The rest of my sentiment was heat embossed in gold on a strip of black cardstock. I used one of the sentiments from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set for it.

I was almost done with my card at this point, but I felt something was a tad bit missing, so I decided to incorporate another stamped card panel on my card. I stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on to a piece of white cardstock using Ocean Breeze ink, which I then trimmed and adhered directly to my card base. I foam mounted my main card layer over this panel and then added some gold sequins to complete my card.

I also wanted to share some Gift Tags that I created using a wide range of products from this month's release. If you have followed my work for a while, you'd know, how much I LOVE creating Gift Tags, and I couldn't resist creating a couple using the Essential Tag Die Set

I die cut the base for the tags using one of the tag dies from the Essential Tag Die Set. I always like to create 'double-layered' tags so that the recipient has enough space to write their messages inside.

I wanted to keep the floral image the focus for my first tag, so I stamped the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my tag using Detail Black ink. I then partially coloured the images using alcohol markers. The sentiment is again from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using two different shades of inks: Apricot and Passion Fruit. I tried to achieve a two-tone effect while stamping it, and like how this turned out!

I used one of the stamps from the Colorblock Gradiating Stripes Cling Stamp Set to stamp the stripes on my next two tags. I used my MISTI Stamping Tool for doing this since I did not want to end up messing the design.  The ink colors that I used are: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Passion Fruit, Meadow, and Ocean Breeze. Once I was done, I masked a part of the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and stamped it to my tag using Detail Black ink.

Then, I used the coordinating Stencil Set to colour the flowers and leaves using Passion Fruit and Fresh Pear inks. The sentiment is from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Detail Black ink.

I kept the next tag super simple, and only stamped the stripes and the sentiment and this was done!

Trio of Gift Tags | Winnie & Walter

Hello everyone,
I have some really cute gift tags to share today. I love making these and it seems like I am very much into circular tags these days. :D Here's a look at all my tags :

Here is the individual view :

To create this tag, I went with the ombre look. I wanted to use the newly released dies from w and w as they are the perfect size for the tags. I'm especially in love with the Thanks word die.

I started with first die cutting some circles in white cardstock and then stamped and white heat embossed the background using the Mini Scenery stamp : Do You See What I See set. I then did some ink blending using Picked Raspberry Distress ink keeping the top part dark and gradually fading the ink blending, creating an ombre look.

I die cut the sentiment 'Celebrate' and colored it partially using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and the remaining half with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens. The flowers and leaves are stamped and die cut using the Winnie and Walter: The Big, the Bold and Extras set. The small poinsettia flower is from the In Bloom : Hollie's Festive Florals. I also added some Diamond Stickles over my die-cut sentiment to add some bling.

I made another tag keeping the design same, but changing the ink colours. I have used Fired Brick and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to get the orange colour. I ink blended the colours and created an ombre background.

Thanks Tag

The circle for this tag is cut from the w and w Ring in the Celebration cutaways. I love the scalloped look of it and even though it is not a stand-alone die, I think it looks great as an individual tag.

I heat-embossed the Mini Scenery : Do You See What I See using Ranger Super Fine White embossing powder. This time I used Broken China Distress ink to create the ombre background. The poinsettia and the foliage are from the In Bloom : Hollie's Festive Florals. I also added the thanks die cut from the Thanks Cutaway to complete my tag.

I am entering these in the following challenges :

I hope you liked my tags :) I would love to hear what you think of them. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Guest Post | Paru's Card Making Challenges

Hello fellow crafters,
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year 2017!
I'm so glad to be joining Paru's challenge as a Guest Designer today. It's an absolute honour to be invited. I love playing along with her challenges. They are always so interesting.

I have created a card and two tags for the challenge this month. I wanted them to look like a set, so I have used the same stamp set & colour combinations for all of them. I wanted the sentiments to be generic so as to be given as a gift set.

To create my card, I have used the Altenew Painted Flowers set. I also used Altenew inks for coloring. I stamped & die-cut the flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies. This made my work so much more easier. Then I die-cut a panel using a Paper Smooches Border die to create a frame. The sentiment comes from another Altenew set- Label Love. I added few black paint splatters & silver stars and sequins for the finishing touches.

To create my tags, I have used the Lawn Fawn - Tag You're It stamp & coordinating die set to stamp and die-cut the tags. I gold embossed the outline of one of the tags to add some extra interest. I used the Altenew Painted Flowers set for the flowers and the sentiment is from the same Lawn Fawn set. I added few Nuvo Crystal dots to embellish it a bit and tied some silver & gold mesh ribbon along with thin black ribbon to finish them off!

I'm entering my card in the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I'm playing along with Amy's June Challenge.

Please visit Paru's blog and don't forget to play along her challenge. I would love to hear what you think about my card & tags!

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Gift Tags!

Hi, friends!
I'm sharing some gift tags I made for my inspiration post at Mudra. I had so much fun creating these..Here's a look at them. I have made 4 tags in total.

First Tag

For this tag, I stamped the flowers & leaves from the Botanical Blooms set and fussy cut them before foam mounting it on the tag base. I have used inks from Altenew here.
I decided to stamp the sentiment on the left side at an angle to create some interest.
Finished it off by doing some black ink splatters and adding the pink satin ribbon.

Second Tag

For this tag, I water-colored the background using Distress inks & I stamped the flower & the foliage by doing a little bit of masking. I kept it simple by just doing some stamping & watercoloring. Finished it off by stamping the sentiment from the Mini Bunch set.

Third Tag

For this one, I stamped the flower bouquet from the On your Special Day set and water colored it using Distress inks before fussy-cutting it & adding foam tape.
For the base of my tag, I die-cut the stitched pattern at an angle and water-colored the bottom half of the tag using Cracked Pistachio Distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment by masking and using two different fonts for it. The 'Special' is from the  On your Special Day set and the 'Wishes' is from the 'Mini Bunch' set. Added some ribbon to finish off my tag.

Fourth Tag

For this tag, I water-colored the background using Distress inks & I stamped the flower & the foliage by doing a little bit of masking. The stamp set used here is from Mudra & is called 'Wild Florals'
To create a bit of dimension, I again stamped, watercolored & fussy-cut the flower before foam mounting it and adhering it to the tag base. Stamped the sentiment from the Mini Bunch set and added some splatters of gold mist.

Few more shots :

Entering these in Cupcake Inspirations (only the right hand-side tag - I was inspired by the colours), Tuesday Throwdown -CAS, Amusing Challenges- Anything Goes,  Inkspirational - Primary Colours, SSS- Anything Goes

Linking the tags to - Love to Scrap- Anything Goes, Sweet Stampin- No designer paper.

I hope you like these..Would love to hear your views on them! :)
