A Masculine Card

Hello, everyone!
I'm back with a card which is quite different from my usual style.  I made a masculine card after a long time & really enjoyed the creative process. Here's a look at my card :

This card was rather easy to put together and that might sound a bit weird as masculine cards are always difficult to make, but the Papericious Gentleman Paper Pack & Mudra DAD set are just the perfect match to make such cards :)

To create this card, I first took an A2 red colored card base and die-cut a frame using the Argyle pattern Paper from the Gentleman Pack which was slightly smaller than my base. Then, I took another paper from the same collection and again die-cut a frame smaller than my previous card front and foam mounted it for dimension.
The white card panel was also die-cut using a Stitched Rectangles die & I have stamped the moustache, the glasses, the bow-tie and the sentiment from the Mudra Dad set.
For the hat, I have done paper-piecing on the band of it using a pattern paper from the Papericious - The Gentleman pack. Finally added some googly eyes to create some fun interest to my card and stamped the sentiment on a white banner which was slightly distressed using Hickory Smoke Distress ink.

Linked this up in the Star Stampz - Add a sentiment, Addicted to Stamps and More- Anything Goes, Word Art Wednesdays- Anything Goes, Stampin' Royalty- Anything Goes and Crafty Hazelnuts- Anything Goes with Patterned paper.

I hope you like this card of mine. As I mentioned earlier, it's quite different from my usual style, so it was really nice to create one after a long time :) I would love to read your comment/suggestions regarding it.

Have a nice day everyone.

Wish you the most beautiful day!

Hello friends,
I have a card to share today and it's a watercolored card using the Winnie and Walter floral stamps. I had so much fun stamping and coloring these papers using my trusted, Distress inks, yet again! Here's a look at what I've created.

The gorgeous red rose is from Winnie and Walter - In Bloom: Elsa's Flora which has been stamped and watercolored using three shades of Distress inks - Abandoned Coral, Fired Brick & Vintage Photo.
The leaves are colored using Twisted Citron Distress ink and are from Winnie and Walter - In Bloom: Elsa's Flora & Winnie and Walter in Bloom - Anna's Flora.
The background trellis against which I have done my floral arrangement is also a beautiful stamp from Winnie and Walter called Mini Scenery - Do You See What I See? which I have gold embossed using Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder and watercolored that panel loosely using Distress inks!
I was pretty happy with the outcome of this card & I hope you all like it too!

I'm entering my card in the Winnie and Walter 2nd Belated Birthday Celebration challenges :-

Peek- a - boo Tic Tac Toe challenge ( I've chosen Flowers, Gold/Silver and Heat embossing!)

Winnie and Walter 2nd Birthday Celebrations - Take 2!

Hello friends,
I am  back again with a card today and I am pretty excited about it too....A few days ago I came across a card on Instagram created by Diane Jaquay and it had a plaid background which was created using Distress inks and flat brushes. I was so inspired by the gorgeous card that Diane had made that I had to give it a try and here's what I have created using this technique

 And a another view :
This is how I created the panel for my card using three different colors of Distress ink along with two different sizes of paint brush to create the plaid pattern.

To create my focal, I first die cut three circles using different sizes of circle die and I lightly colored my circles using Distress inks and foam mounted them in the centre of my card. The flowers and leaves are from the Winnie & Walter :In Bloom : Elsa's Flora and In Bloom : Anna's Flora
I die cut the banner using The big,the bold and Extra cutaways on a piece of Vellum and the sentiment is from the : The Big,the bold and extra stamp set using Versafine  Onyx Black ink.
I have water colored my flowers and leaves using various Distress inks on a piece of watercolored cardstock and fussy cut it before popping it up on my card panel.

I am entering my card in the following challenges :
Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday celebrations : Create your own background with Gayatri
Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday celebrations :
Floral challenge with Lydia

Peek- a- boo Tic Tac Toe challenge ( I have selected Flowers, Sequins and Die cuts)

Hope you all like my card. Please do drop in your comments /suggestions, would love to hear from you :)

Hello !!

Hello friends,
I have a card to share today and it was made using Neat and Tangled stamp and dies which I have been hoarding for quite sometime now!
This is my first buy at a stamp and die combo and I was like a kid with a new toy while trying it out :D ...I stamped and colored all my images on the Fabriano Brustro watercolor paper and believe me this paper is a pain to fussy cut with especially with tiny images, but thankfully I had the cordinating die set to rescue :)

So here's a look at my card ...I have clicked it in all angles possible because I loved it that much :D

I told you didn't, I ?
Okay, so a little bit about how I went about creating this ...All the elements on my card are stamped and die cut ..The embroidery hoop does not have a co-ordinating die ..Its an another stand alone die which you can buy separately but alas I didn't have it so I improvised with my circle dies to cut the inner circle the outer part was fussy cut then watercolored with Vintage photo Distress ink and embossed with the Darice Woodgrain embossing folder to give it a more natural look. All the flowers and leaves and even the butterfly were watercolored with a combination of Distress inks and the Nirmal watercolors that I mentioned about in my last post here.
The background of my cardbase is embossed using Wendy Vecchi embossing paste to which I added a little bit of vintage photo ink and the stencil I used is from Winnie and Walter creative screenings (Do you see what I see).
Hope you all like my card.Would love to hear your views on it so do drop me a line :)

I am entering this card in the following challenges :
Little Tangles #64 : Hello
Paru's Cardmaking challenge : New
Stamping Smiles Design : Tic Tac Toe ( I have used the middle grid. (Sparkles, Embossing, New).

Have a nice day everyone!

Best Mom in the world !!

Hello friends,
I have a card to share with you all today which I have created for this time's Altenew challenge From The Craft Room. I was really inspired by the colors and the various elements in the inspiration picture and wanted to capture it in my card. Here's a look at my card first :

And here'a look at the inspiration picture :

I really loved the color scheme of Navy and coral and so I inked up a piece of water color cardstock with distress inks Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire.
Then, I stamped and white heat embossed the Wild Hibiscus flowers and leaves on a kraft cardstock and colored it using watercolor pencils. First, I laid down a layer of white and then added peach color on top and blended it with a waterbrush, then fussy cut the flowers and leaves and popped them on foam dots. The glittered chevron are die cut using a slate grey Glitter Washi tape.

I wanted to incorporate both the chevron design as well as the glitter of the envelope in my card and these die cut chevron fitted the bill perfectly :)To incorporate the kraft cardstock from the picture I cut a thin piece from the Kraft paper and added it to the side of my card.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Wild Hibiscus set on a white cardstock using the Ranger Platinum embossing powder and also inked it using Chipped Sapphire Distress ink, then spattered some Heidi Swapp Color Shine Coral color on the top to finish my card.

Hope you like my card. Do leave me your feedback I love hearing from you! :)
Have a nice day everyone !!

This card was made keeping in mind a couple of challenges which I wanted to participate for the WCMD....Before I give you the details, here's a look at my card first :

I have used Altenew's Wild Hibiscus set to stamp and emboss my flower and leaves ..Also used the leaves from the Doodle Flower set and have gold embossed them using Ranger Gold Embossing powder on vellum and colored them  with Distress Ink Picked Raspberry, then fussy cut them.
The leaves are colored using Shabby Shutters Distress ink. My background panel is embossed using Darice Woodgrain Embossing folder and I have used Papericious Grey Bloom Premium Pattern paper for my bottom half.
I watercolored a cardstock panel using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and die cut the circle from it to frame the flowers and leaves.
The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter -The Big, The Bold and the Party set  stamped using Altenew dye ink Coral Berry. The sequins are from PPP!

Dream- Mixed Media Canvas

Hello, friends!
I am back again sharing a Mixed Media Canvas I have made using our Papericious's this month's release - "The Vintage Attire" and "The Golden Garden" collections. The Vintage Attire premium collection has some really beautiful prints, perfect for creating any backgrounds and all the Mixed Media fans would love the designs in this pack. I have used the Vintage Attire to create the base of my canvas design by doing paper tearing and layering these papers using Gel Medium, then I gessoed over it. Here's a look at it :

Close-up of the sentiment and textures :

To create the background of my canvas, I have layered strips of paper from The Vintage Attire collection by Papericious, then did stenciling using stencils from MFT and Tim Holtz using Wendy Vecchi Embossing paste in white. Once it dried, I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists- Hottie Pattotie. I have paper pieced some flowers and leaves from The Golden Garden collection by Papericious  and then embellished it using MDF pieces, a white resin frame and my handmade flowers, and some pollen fillers too.
The sentiment is stamped using Visible image stamp and heat embossed it using White embossing powder on a black cardstock paper. The word 'Dream' are alpha stickers from the Chickaniddy Crafts- Date Night collection which I have colored with Versafine Onyx black ink and added Glossy Accents over it.

My canvas was inspired by the this time's gorgeous inspiration photograph at the Scrap Around the World blog and it measures 10 X 10 inches. Here's a look at the beautiful picture :
I was inspired by the colors, the soft pink and the browns and the beautiful flower on the book and the script background.
I'm also entering this in the PPS September challenge- Embossing. I've done heat embossing on the sentiment and on the MDF pieces.
I am entering this canvas for this month's STAMPlorations Mixed Media challenge - Sep  ( I have used  stencils on my background )

I have taken bits of the inspiration picture and included in my canvas. The quote is perfect with the theme of my canvas, too! Taking time to live life does, indeed inspire our work. :)

Hope you like my work. Your comments totally make my day, so do leave me your feedback.
Have a nice day everyone.

Floral Thanks

Hello, hello friends!
So, I'm back again with another card and this time I have played with the Altenew Vintage Flowers set. Totally, totally in love with this set and if my budget did allow me, I could have very nearly bought all of their stamp sets :):)
Anyhow,  here's a look at what I have created :

Because this stamp set is so beautiful, I have kept this card pretty simple just to highlight the stamp itself!
I won't lie. The layered stamping is definitely tricky and it takes a lot of practice before one gets perfect results and mine is nowhere near perfect. :/ After lot of trial and error, what I found is Dye inks work best for the layered stamps. I have used a combination of Memento and Mama Elephant inks for my pink flowers where as for the yellow flower I have used Hero Arts Shadow inks along with Memento inks.
The background is embossed using an embossing folder from Darice. I love the contrast of the woodgrain against the soft flowers. I have lightly inked the panel using Black Soot Distress ink. Some random ink splatters and PPP sequins completes my card. The sentiment is die cut and is my ever favorite SSS die.

Supplies used :
Cardstock- White Iris Cardstock.
Stamps- Altenew Vintage Flowers.
Dies- Simon Says Stamp Thanks Craft die.
Inks- Memento Angel Pink, Mama Elephant Piggy Bank, Avery Elle Raspberry, Hero Arts Soft Blossom, Memento Dandelion, Hero Arts Butter Bar, Hero Arts Orange Soda, Distress ink Black Soot.
Darice Woodgrain embossing folder, Black acrylic paint, Pretty Pink Posh Sequins.

I'm entering this card in the Cardabilities Sketch challenge, Beyond Grey Challenges, A Blog Named Hero- Favorites (I have used my absolutely fave stamp set here), Create Something Catchy -CAS and Inspired by the moodboard. (I have been Inspired by the flowers ), SSS - Love of plants.

Hope you like my attempt at layered stamping.  I would love to hear your comments/suggestions on my card.
Have a nice day everyone!

'You do amazing things'

Hi friends,
Hope you all are having a great time this summer vacation. I have been busy with my kids, too but, I did find time to play along with this time's Altenew May challenge which is From Places Abroad- Tunisia. Here's my take on this challenge.

The inspiration picture :

I have taken inspiration from the above picture quite literally, as you can see. I have not only tried to include the colours but kind of tried to create the design from the ceiling as well.
To make this card, I embossed a piece of watercolor paper which I had painted very lightly using Salty Ocean Distress Stain with lots of water. I used the Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug embossing folder- Foundry, then I distressed a piece of watercolor paper with Distress inks- Chipped Sapphire and Peacock feathers and used this paper to die cut my frame.
I, then die cut the Memory Box Amira Flourish die from a piece of white scrap paper and covered it entirely with Inka Gold. This creates the backdrop for my flowers.
The flowers are from the Altenew Doddle Flower set which I have stamped and heat embossed on a light blue paper using Super Fine Gold embossing powder. The leaves are heat embossed on vellum and fussy cut.
The sentiment 'You' has been die cut from a SSS die and I have stamped the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set. Have splattered some drops on my card base using Chipped Sapphire, Peacock feathers and Heidi Swapp- Gold Lame mist using a water brush.

Supplies used :
Cardstock- Fabriano Elle Erre Black ,Fabriano Brustro Watercolor paper.
Stamps- Altenew Doodle flower, SSS Expressions for you stamp.
Dies- Itsy Bitsy Venetian Label die, Memory Box Amira Flourish, SSS Expressions for you die.
Inks- Distress inks- Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers, Distress Stain- Salty Ocean, Versamark Dazzle embossing ink, Versafine Onyx black ink pad.
Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug Foundry embossing folder, Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder,  Heidi Swapp Gold Lame mist, Gems, Inka Gold.

I am entering my card in the SSS- Anything Goes challenge, Crafting When We Can- Bling it up

Have a nice day everyone!

Spotlight Feature at Winnie & Walter blog

Hi friends,
I'm sharing few projects at the Winnie and Walter blog where I was invited to do a spotlight feature by Julie and Shay. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to receive the mail inviting me over for this feature! :D *Happy dancing all around*.

So I have a few cards and a tag to share with you all. You can also check out the details about my card on the Winnie and Walter blog. Would love for you to drop by their blog and leave me some encouragement :)

Here are my cards and tag :

To create the circle frame in this card, I have used the TWS: Leave it to Mom set. The original stamp is an oval but I just adjusted the shape of the stamp into a circle. It was pretty easy to do as these are high quality photopolymer stamps.I have heat embossed the design using ranger's platinum embossing powder ...The flowers and leaves are also heat embossed.
I am entering this card in the Layers and Dimension challenge at Virginia's View Challenge, City Crafter ChallengeJust Us girls (Embossing )

The second card :
The flowers in this card are also from the TWS: Leave it to Mom set. I have stamped, fussy cut and mounted them on foam dots.

Final share.. A tag!

To know more about how I created my cards and tag, please drop by the Winnie and Walter blog.

'Congrats' card

Hello friends!
This is my second card share for all the fun challenges going on over at the W & W blog along with Pink Fresh Studio for iNSD challenges.
Here's a look at my card :
My card was inspired by the Moodboard and Sequin challenges at the W & W blog.
Also entering  for Simon Says Stamp -Let's get Sentimental challenge.

Here's a look at the mood board :
iNSD 2015 Mood Board Challenge

I was inspired by the geometric wall and the patches of neon tapes. I was also inspired by the soft watercolored look.

To recreate it, I first stenciled my background using  the Winnie and Walter Creative Screening: Triangled  and different Distress inks- Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick, but I found the background to be a bit dark, so to tone it down I painted a layer of Gesso over it. I then did some spattering with black acrylic paint, stamped my sentiment which is from the Winnie and Walter- The Big, the Bold and You set and popped it on foam dots, and did the same with the flowers and leaves too which are from my very favorite Altenew set, Lacy Scrolls. For the finishing touches, I added some sequins and gold spatters using the Heidi Swapp Color Shine- Gold Lame mist.

Supplies used :
Campap White paper, Fabriano Brustro Watercolor paper.
Stamps- Winnie and Walter- The Big, the Bold and You, Altenew set, Lacy Scrolls.
Inks- Hero Arts Butter Bar ink, Avery Elle Lemongrass ink, Versafine Onyx Black, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick.
Winnie and Walter Creative Screenings: Triangled, Heidi Swapp Color Shine- Gold Lame mist, Black Acrylic paint, Sequins.

I hope you like my card. I would love to hear your feedback on it. :)
