November 2019 Card Kit of the Month is Here – Christmas Wishes

I have FIVE Cards to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!

My first card features the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad, Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes SetChristmas Wishes Chipboard Sticker Pack, along with the stamp set included in the kit.

For my card, I started by selecting a patterned paper design from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad and die cut a circle in the centre of this paper using the Nestabilities Standard Circles LG die set. I took another piece of White Cardstock and created a mini scene using different stamps included in the Christmas Wishes Stamp set included from the kit. I incorporated some ink blending and masking in this scene to make it look a bit more realistic.

I used a layer of White Fun Foam between the patterned paper and the stamped scene to make the top panel pop a bit. I also adhered a die cut from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set and a sentiment banner from the Christmas Wishes Chipboard Sticker Pack. I also added a couple of stars and photo corners from the same chipboard set to complete my card.

My next card features the Christmas Wishes Paper PadChristmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set, and the dies included in the kit.

To create my card, I started by die cutting the ornament die included in the kit from Gold Mirror Cardstock and some foiled patterned paper. I also die cut the strings and the little accessories for the ornament from Gold Mirror Cardstock.

Once that was done, I did the assembly for it, and picked out two ornament die cuts from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set. I adhered these three over a patterned paper from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad. I also added a sentiment banner from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set and some gemstones for the finishing touch.

My next card is made entirely using the flower and leaf dies from the kit.

I took a piece of A2 Navy Blue Cardstock and die cut a couple of poinsettia flowers and leaves all over this panel to create my own background piece. Then, I die cut several of these poinsettias from Red Cardstock and leaves from Green Cardstock and used the inlay technique to adhere them over the previously die cut panel. I also added the centres of the flowers which were die cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock.

My panel was almost done and I decided to die cut a circle from Vellum using the Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Dies. I topped this up with another circle die cut from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set.

My fourth card features the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad, and the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set along with the dies from the kit.
For my card, I first picked out a patterned paper from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad which would go well with the design of my card. Once I did that, I die cut some poinsettias and leaves using Red and Green Cardstock respectively, and adhered them over a watercolored wreath die cut from the  Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set. I also added some punched sprig leaves and flower centres to the poinsettias.

I stamped two bows using two different ink colours and fussy cut them to place them over the wreath.  I also added a white gemstone to the centre of the bow and die cut pieces in the centre of the wreath for my card sentiment.

This is my favourite from the lot because I love the way it turned out. To start with, I picked out two different patterned papers from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad. I adhered one directly on to my card panel, while I die cut from the other to create hills for my scene. Once they were die cut, I adhered these panels in a way that one would overlap over the other to create the illusion of a hill.

I used lots of die cuts from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set to create the entire scene for my card. I adhered few directly, while some were popped up using foam tape. The sentiment banner is also from the same set.

Spellbinders September Card Kit of the Month - Express Yourself

Hello there, everyone!
I have a couple of cards to share today featuring the September Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders - Express Yourself. If you haven't heard about the Monthly Card Kits by Spellbinders or don't know how to subscribe to one, you can go over to the Spellbinders website and/or blog and read more about them HERE

This "Express Yourself" Kit, like all their other Card Kits, gives you everything you need to create 10 unique cards and even more. You now also get better goodies, including a 40 sheet paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!

I have made FOUR Cards using the kit, so without further ado, let's get started!

My first card features the Express Yourself Die Cut Shapes Set, Express Yourself Clear Stamp Set, and the Express Yourself Paper Pad along with the dies included in this month's kit.

For my card, I first pulled out two contrasting designs which would work well together from the Express Yourself Paper Pad. Next, I die cut a golden frame using the dies included in the kit from Gold Mirror Cardstock. I added another die cut over this golden image to give it a more vintage look.

I used some flowers and leaves from the Express Yourself Die Cut Shapes Set and also die cut some tiny flowers and ferns from White Cardstock and coloured them using dye inks. I used the Express Yourself Clear Stamp Set for the sentiment of my card.

Moving on to my next card which features the Express Yourself Die Cut Shapes Set, the Express Yourself Paper Pad, dies, and gemstones from the kit.

I love the different ephemera pieces in the Express Yourself Kit for they are so pretty and varied. For this card, I simply picked out few large floral pieces and foliage which would constitute the focal for my card. I added some additional foliage by die cutting leaves and mini flowers and tucked them in this bunch.

I trimmed a small piece of patterned paper from the Express Yourself Paper Pad and adhered it to the bottom of my card panel. I also added a strip of Gold Mirror Cardstock to accentuate the look.

Next, I picked out few gemstones which would work with my card colours and added them to my panel. I also adhered a couple of die cut shapes from the Express Yourself Die Cut Shapes Set to create my own sentiment. I added some light pink splatters as the final finishing touch for my card.

I really loved the soft mint pattern from the Express Yourself Paper Pad and wanted to create a card using it. Once I selected this particular pattern, I started sorting out coordinating embellishments which would go with this pattern. I picked two chipboard frames from the Express Yourself Chipboard Stickers Set, and adhered them over this patterned paper.

Next, I picked out few die cut shapes from the Express Yourself Die Cut Shapes Set and arranged them on my card panel. The golden leaves were also from the same die cut shapes set. I even used die cuts to create the sentiment for my card. And that is how this card came together!

This is the simplest card of the lot! I again started out by picking out a patterned paper from the Express Yourself Paper Pad. Then, I used a circle die from the
Nestabilities Standard Circles SM Etched Dies to die cut a circle from this paper. I did this so that I could stamp my sentiment in the centre on a piece of White Cardstock.

Once I had die cut the patterned paper and adhered the White Cardstock on my card base, I used the Express Yourself Clear Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment. This is an amazing stamp set and the font is so feminine and pretty. I am definitely using this set for more upcoming projects!

Then, I added this beautiful floral die cut piece on my card panel and also included some die cut fern leaves and some die cut shapes to complete the floral arrangement. I also used an envelope from the Express Yourself Chipboard Stickers Set and added it next to the floral cluster. Lastly, I added two photo corners to my card panel and some light pink glitter gemstones as the finishing touches to my card.

I have made FOUR Cards using the kit, so without further ado, let's get started!

To create this card, I first picked out two different patterned papers from the Shellebrate Paper Pad which would work for my card design, Next, I die cut the mermaid's tail, body, face, and hair using the dies included in the kit from Canson Montval Watercolor Paper. I coloured the die cut pieces using the Altenew Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Brush Markers Set. I assembled the entire mermaid together and adhered it to the card panel. I also added some additional details to it, like the tiara on the mermaid's hair which were die cut using the tiny flower dies included in the Kit. I find it so pretty!

I used some die cuts from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set to create the background for my card. I used a variety of elements so that it would depict an underwater scene.

For the first half of my sentiment, I used a die cut from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set. For the other half, I heat embossed the word 'Mermazing' in White on a strip of Black Cardstock and adhered it on my panel using foam tape. I also added some Ranger Diamond Stickles on certains points of body of the mermaid and the fishes for added interest.

For my second card, I used the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set, and Shellebrate Paper Pad

To create this card, I used a patterned paper from the Shellebrate Paper Pad which had foiled holographic waves on it. Next, I die cut a circle from the centre of this paper so that I could create a scene around this. I took another piece of White Cardstock and ink blended the background to depict the look of ocean water. Then, I used several die cuts from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set and adhered them on my card panel. I'd like to point out a tiny detail in this scene - I have added a tiny flower to the Sea Horse just to doll it up. Doesn't it look so sweet?

I mounted this panel onto an A2 sized top-folding white card base. I added some purple sparkle stickers from the Shellebrate Foam Stickers as the finishing touch for my card!

To create my card, I first began by die cutting a patterned paper from the Shellebrate Paper Pad using a Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Frame Die Set. Once that was done, I started working on my card design. I used a mix of stickers from the Shellebrate Foam Stickers and several die cuts from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set to create the entire scene on my card. I also die cut some underwater plants and shells using the dies included in this month's kit and adhered it to my panel. These Kits provide you with all the supplies you would need to create ten cards and more and are incredibly fun to work with! I always have a great time creating cards using the Monthly Card Kits.

You can see the dimension of the stickers here. I used some sentiment banners from the Shellebrate Foam Stickers to complete my card.

My last card for today showcases the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set and Shellebrate Paper Pad.

To create this card, I again started out by selecting a patterned paper from the Shellebrate Paper Pad which I could use for my card background. Once I did that, I started thinking about the main elements for my design. I decided to use a film strip, some dolphins and water splashes, fishes and underwater plants for my card. These all came from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set. There are innumerable die cuts included in this pack to help you create 20 cards or more!

The sentiment is also a die cut from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes Set. I adhered it to my panel using foam tape. I also added some white glitter stars from the Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers to my panel as the finishing touch.

And here are all my cards together! Each one is so different from the other, yet was created using a single Card Kit. I love the versatility and the possibilities each kits offers!

Card Kit of the Month Membership

I have made FOUR Cards using the kit, so without further ado, let's get started!

My first card is made using the Stay Wild Paper Pad,
Stay Wild Clear Stamp Set, Chipboard Frames, and dies from the kit.

I used the layering dies from the kit to die cut the flowers and leaves from Watercolor Cardstock. I coloured these pieces using Watercolor Brush Markers and popped them on foam dots for dimension. Next, I die cut the word 'Smile' a couple of times from White Cardstock and stacked them one on top of the other so that it would give a raised look. I also stamped the rest of the sentiment (from the Stay Wild Clear Stamp Set) on a strip of white cardstock to finish the card.

And finally, I added some silver sequins as finishing touches for my card. Isn't this so simple and pretty?!

Moving on to my second card which features the Stay Wild Die Cut Shapes Set, the Stay Wild Clear Stamp Set, and the Stay Wild Paper Pad.

It took me a while to compose this card because of the design and the colours used. I started by pulling out some die cuts from the Stay Wild Die Cut Shapes Set and arranging them on my card base. I tried to use similar colours and patterns to help achieve a balance in design. I also adhered two coordinating patterned papers on my card base.

To complete the card, I die cut some leaves using Copper Foil Cardstock and stamped my sentiment on a piece of White Cardstock, which was then matted onto Copper Foil Cardstock And that's it! This card was finished!

To create this card, I first adhered a foiled patterned paper from the Stay Wild Paper Pad on the bottom of my card. Next, I adhered a piece of embossed cardstock on the top which was created using the Fun Stampers Journey Layered Scallops Embossing Folder. For the focal of my card, I added some die cuts (from the Stay Wild Die Cut Shapes Set) which were layered over one another to help create a balanced card design.

I also added some Copper Foil Cardstock die cut leaves on either side of the card to complete the look. I love how this one turned out!

Finally, my last card for today is something very different from my usual style. I have used a mix of the Stay Wild Die Cut Shapes Set, the Stay Wild Clear Stamp Set, and the Stay Wild Paper Pad.

This card is slightly smaller than the standard A2 Card size. To create this one, I started by adhering a foiled patterned paper on my card base, which happens to be the same one I used on my previous card as well. Next, I die cut a decorative shape from another patterned paper and adhered it on the foiled patterned paper. For the focal, I used a bunch of die cut shapes, a chipboard frame, and some stamped, coloured, and fussy cut elements.

This card was really fun to put together as it has elements and patterns which I don't generally tend to work with. I hope you like it!

And here is a picture of all the four cards together! I would love to know if you have a favourite!

Here is a video showing you some card ideas using this month's kit by Spellbinders. Watch this to have a closer look at the kit contents.
