You are amazing!

Hello everyone!
I have a card to share today which I made for the Papericious July Challenge. We have a Moodboard challenge for you this time to be inspired with. You can check out all the details HERE on the Papericious blog. Here's my card inspired by it.

(I was inspired by the colours as well as the white mulberry flowers, the woodgrain background and the mesh from the Moodboard)

I have used the Papericious - My Golden Garden paper for the base, then layered it with the Papericious Wooden collection and finally used the Papericious Infinity Collection papers for die-cutting that doily.
The flowers are from my stash and I have added some Stickles on them for adding some shimmer. The leaves have been colored using Inka Gold which were die-cut from a Sizzix die. The bow is  made using Creme Seam Binding Ribbon. The hat-pins are from my stash again.

I have added a crotchet lace and the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punched border for layering. The sentiment is from the Altenew - Sentiments & Quotes set which has been heat-embossed using Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing powder. I added a small butterfly from Martha Stewart to finish off my card!

I'm entering my card in the Lulupu - July Sketch Challenge ( I have flipped the sketch upside down) , Peek-a-Boo Designs - Layers Challenge, Card-Mania - Lace and Pearls, Happy Little Stampers - Anything  goes with Dies

I hope you liked my card. Please do leave me your comments/suggestions. I love hearing from you :)

An Altered Heart-shaped Box!

Hi Friends and fellow bloggers :)
Today I am sharing with you an Altered gift box which I have made for my Guest Designer post for Color Conceptions blog where their  current Challenge is '3 B's -Bags/Boxes/Baskets ' As many of you know, I love making boxes, bags and altered stuff, and when Priya invited me for the Guest Design post, I knew right away that I wanted to share an up-cycled heart-shaped box which was lying in my stash, begging to be altered for quite some time now :P I won't bore you all with a lot of details and rather just take you to the photographs of the box and how I have upcycled it. So, let's begin with the pictures which I will then, follow up with the explanations!

This is the original box. Sorry, I forgot to click the pictures before I had applied a layer of Gesso on it. I just remembered about it, after the first layer had been applied. But,as you can see , it's an old box in which I had received some homemade chocolates from a friend. I applied  two coats of Gesso to it, before I began decorating it.

After applying Gesso, I have covered the  box with some pattern papers from the DCWV Fresh Florals stack, on the top, sides, and bottom using Mod Podge Then, did some stenciling on the top using Texture paste from Camlin and The 'Mini-Hexagons' Stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and distressed all the edges of the box with Spun sugar Distress ink, as my base paper is also pink. Then, I embellished the top with  handmade flowers using Spellbinder's Rose Creations die colored with Distress Inks -Tumbled Glass Spun Sugar and Mustard Seed, MDF Flourish, Pollens ,Tulle and Pearls.
The sides panels are embellished with crotchet laces and some Martha Stewart punched Doily laces.

I hope you like my upcycled project!  Please do leave me your comments/suggestions would love to hear from you :)

Altered Gift box and Decoupaging !!

Hi Friends,
Today I am sharing an upcycled gift box I have made using Mod Podge.. And one of the common technique using Mod Podge is 'Decoupage' where in you apply Mod Podge on any surface and cover it with color paper and in My case pattern paper and then apply Mod Podgeover it again to seal it.. I have up-cycled/.recycled an old gift box by covering it with white cardstock first then layered it with pattern paper with stamping on it done with Her Arts Flourish Background Stamp and then embellished it using various dies..Here's a look at My box :-

And a look at how it looks on the sides :

And a look at how it opens and a front view :

And if you have noticed I have used the local Handmade paper to make my flower's and all the greenery is also cut from Handmade paper I really liked the subtle glitter this paper gives and its so easy to cut through these paper's using dies ...They do get stuck with punches but with dies it cuts smooth as butter :) ..And all the small flowers are punched from plain white card stock and colored with distress inks..Don't they look so pretty :) !!!
The color's for my box were inspired by the Itsy Bitsy Color challenge  where we were asked to create any project using Greens and blue's with a neutral color and this is my take on it ...:)

Hope you all like my box ...Please do leave me your comments/suggestion's would love to hear from you :)

Guest Designing at Sunshine Creations :)

Hi Friends,
Today I am very happy to share with  you a card I have made for my GD spot at Sunshine Creations blog  run by a very talented young  Crafter Anushka ...She is only 11 years old and  her work is simply amazing ...I have come to admire  her so much for her ability to multi task so well at such an young age.... She seems to so effortlessly manage school ,crafting ,blogging and now even running her own challenges!! And I am quite proud to be selected as a guest designer at her blog  for this time's challenge which is Season's Greetings..And here's my take on this challenge :

I have to add here that I am not very good at making cards without floral embellishments in any form and this theme  was a challenge for me ...But luckily the beautiful Pattern papers from the Webster's- A Botanical christmas  came to my rescue:)...Love the beautiful designs and die cuts in this collection....I just cut out the door and added a few pearls on the wreath plus some on the cream lace below to jazz it up ...And for the first time got to play with some Hero Arts stamp and Distress inks with which I have created the background design !!
Oh and I have to tell you guys that since I was also selected the random winner along with GD for Anushka's last challenge(fall /Thanksgiving ) ...I won some cute & lovely Inkadinkadoo stamps for it ...But the ever generous Piali also sent me some utterly gorgeous paper's,  ribbons & alphas too ...Thank you so much Anushka and Piali for your Generosity.. ...I simply Loved it :)
And I wanted to link up my this card  to Annette's My  Clever Creation Blog where she has a celebration on with a link up party ..Annette is a dear blogger friend and I Love her cute, adorable and of course clever work very much  :)
