Spellbinders Add to Cart Collection by Becky Roberts

Hello, crafty friends!

I hope you are doing well. I am back today to share a couple of cards using the NEW Add to Cart Collection by Becky Roberts. This fun collection features a 3D Pop-up shopping cart and lots of goodies to "add to cart" including party supplies, shopping bags, and a Christmas tree!a 3D shopping cart. It is so cleverly designed and you can easily use these dies for creating cards for a variety of any occasions - Party, holiday, and girls’ night out are just some of the themes featured.

I made a set of two bright and dimensional cards using the 3D Shopping Cart Etched Dies, Shopping Bags Etched Dies, and the Shopping Cart Party On! Etched Dies. 

For my first card, I focused on the 3D Shopping Cart Etched Dies and the Shopping Bags Etched Dies. This card design is perfect for showering a loved one with birthday wishes.

I began by trimming a piece of Snowdrift Cardstock to size and then and secured the Sun Burst Stencil on the top of the panel to blend Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink with a blending brush. Next, I stamped a strip of road onto the panel with Moon Rock ink. 

Then, I die cut the components of the shopping cart out of Pomegranate, Mirror Gold, and Onyx Cardstock using the 3D Shopping Cart Die Set and assembled it together using liquid glue. There are options to create both a narrow and wide cart, depending on what you’d like to fit inside. I chose to make a wide cart. I adhered the cart together, then added it to the card panel.

Next, I die cut three shopping bags out of Pink Sand, Waterfall, and patterned paper prints using the Shopping Bags Etched Die Set, and then adhered it together for a 3D look. Once that was done, I die cut balloons out of Teal Topaz, Persimmon, Pink Sand, Wild Berry, and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Shopping Cart Party On! Etched Dies. I adhered them on to my panel using liquid glue. 

To finish, I die cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the tag die included in the Shopping Bags Etched Die Set. I colored the piece using Peacock Feathers Distress ink and stamped a sentiment onto it using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I tied a simple bow using some Gold Baker's Twine and attached it to the shopping cart using foam adhesive. I adhered the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.

My second Card features the Shopping Cart Party On! Etched Dies. This is a great set for a party, anniversary, birthday, and even New Year celebrations.

To create my card, I began by trimming a piece of Onyx Cardstock to size. Next, I die cut a circle towards the bottom half of the panel using the large circle die in the Standard Circles LG Etched Dies. Then, I adhered a piece of Ivory Metallic Cardstock behind the panel to help it pop out. Next, I added a scalloped circle frame cut out of Mirror Gold Cardstock using the Scalloped Circle Die Set. This helped create a window on my panel. 

Once that was done, I die cut the champagne bottles, flutes, and masks out of Pink Sand, Raindrop, Mirror Gold, Persimmon, and Wild Berry Cardstock using the Shopping Cart Party On! Die Set. I assembled the different pieces together and adhered them to my panel using a combination of foam adhesive and liquid glue.

Next, I die cut the party banners out of Pink Sand, Raindrop, Mirror Gold, Persimmon, and Wild Berry Cardstock using the Shopping Cart Party On! Die Set. I assembled the pieces together and then added it to my panel using liquid glue. Then, to complete, I heat embossed a sentiment in gold underneath this panel. I mounted my panel to a piece of Mirror Gold Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized black card base made out of Onyx Cardstock with tape runner.

Spellbinders January 13th Blog Hop + Giveaway!

I have a 3D Vignette Card to share for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – January 2021 Die of the Month Set. In case you missed, it I shared a Card on my blog few days ago using this month's "Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox" Set, which you can check out HERE.

This Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox functions just like a 3D Vignette, except for this one is a “mini”.  The front of the mailbox has an aperture that you can layer with a second die cut of the mailbox front and add a surprise message or photo.

For my project, I die cut the front of the mailbox using the Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox from Lemon Yellow Textured Cardstock. The solid mailbox door was cut from Light Pink Cardstock. I die cut the photograph to add inside the mailbox using the same die and then adhered it down to my mailbox outline frame die cut. I assembled the different pieces together following the tutorial by Becca Feeken. 

The different stems were also cut from Lemon Yellow Cardstock using different dies from the Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox, while the hearts, mini envelopes, and hearts were die cut from Light Pink Cardstock, Gold Mirror Cardstock, and White Cardstock. I stamped mini sentiments using Licorice Black Ink on several of these die cuts to add interest. You can customize in any way and style you'd like. I designed this for a dear friend's wedding anniversary, so I used sentiments which would go with my theme.

 I decorated the front of the mailbox using the decorative tag from the Shapeabilities Grand Dome 3D Card Etched Dies which I die cut from Lemon Yellow Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock. The oval for the centre was cut from Pink Cardstock and i stamped my sentiment on it using Licorice Black Ink. I popped the sentiment tag to the panel suing foam tape for dimension. The lil' flowers are from an older Amazing Paper Grace die, and I added some mini fillers and rose buds to accentuate the design. 

This was actually very simple to make and I really enjoyed the creative process too. I decorated the back of the card too for more interest. I adhered a Light Pink Cardstock die cut behind the filigree frame and that's about it. My card was done!

Spellbinders + Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month | December 2020

I have a Card to share using the Rose Garden Promise. This Die of the Month will have you creating gorgeous layered projects in no time! It is versatile, elegant, and timeless. This die set features 4 dies.

Here's a look at my Card:

I LOVE the gorgeous design of this rose die set and couldn't help but create a floral birthday card. I love creating birthday cards, so this was one was simply a joy to create! To begin, I die cut the rose die layer from Brush Gold Cardstock and Watercolour Paper. Once they were die cut, I adhered the two layers down on my card base. 

I decided to use the inlaid die cutting technique for creating my card, but with a twist. I wanted the rose die layer to literally "pop" on the card front, so I die cut the entire die from White Fun Foam and adhered only the roses and leaves down on to my panel, so that the rose die design would pop out.

It was now time to assemble my card together. I used the negatives of the die cut roses and leaves or the "chads"  (which I got after die cutting the rose die layer from Watercolour Paper), and coloured the various pieces using the Watercolors Set Brights from Jane Davenport. I kept the colours very light and used loads of water with the paints to get the desired hues. I also lightly coloured the frame of the previously cut die layer, just to add a little dash of colour. I finally adhered all the pieces of the roses and leaves. 

The sentiment panel was cut from Light Blue Cardstock and White Fun Foam. I adhered it to my card panel. I used the Fun Stampers Journey Inside and Out Stamp Set and Licorice ink for my sentiment. I adhered everything to my card panel and glue the panel to my cream card base. I used a couple of gold sequins to finish off the card. 

This card did take me a while to put together, but I think the end result was worth it - What do you think?!

I have created a 2D Card Front using the Pop Up 3D Vignette Sleigh Set.

The die set consists of 21 dies to help you create a realistic 3D Pop Up Vignette Sleigh, Table Center Piece, Table Setting Favor, Sleigh pieces filled with Candy and Goodies, Part of a Wonderland Menagerie, a Flat 2D on the front of a card and much more. This die, like all the other 3D Vignettes dies, collapses flat to be sent in a regular envelope. Isn't that so cool!?

To create my card, I first die cut the different components of the sleigh from Butter Cream Cardstock, Gold Foil Cardstock, and Baby Pink Cardstock. I ran all the pieces through my Platinum 6" Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and then segregated them to make the process of assembly easy and quick. I assembled it together following THIS video. I wanted to use this sleigh for my card front, so I didn't die cut the vignette tabs and crossbars for creating a 3D piece. The flowers and leaves were die cut from Whip Cream Cardstock, while the decorative swirls were die cut from Baby Pink and Gold Foil Cardstock. 

Once my sleigh was ready, I started working on my floral arrangement. I lightly colored the die cut petals using Rustic Rose Ink and the centres with Sweet Pear. The evergreen leaves were colored using Sweet Pear as well. I also die cut some berries and colored them using Rustic Rose Ink. The die cut flowers had nice, embossed grooves on them, so I decided to keep it simple and just layer the poinsettias together in clusters. Once I had inked all the petals, I added glitzy gems to the flower centres and then adhered them to my card panel along with the leaves and berries. The sleigh was attached to my card front using foam squares for dimension. 

I die cut a sentiment tag from Gold Foil Cardstock using the gift/decorative end die in the set. I chopped off the bottom of the piece so that it'd work as a sentiment tag on my card. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Butter Cream Cardstock and then adhered it to my panel using foam dots. 

Then, I die cut a decorative card panel using the frame die from the October 2018 Large Die of the Month Set from Spellbinders. I cut a piece of Baby Pink Cardstock and added it to the back of the frame to create a more sturdy panel. Then, I trimmed a piece of foiled patterned paper from the DCWV Blush 12" X 12" Paper Pad and adhered it to a mat layer of Gold Foil Cardstock. This was then mounted to a 6" X 6" card base made from Butter Cream Cardstock.

I have created a Card Front using the Pop Up 3D Vignette Camera Set with a little twist. Read on to find out what it is!

The die set consists of 16 dies to help you create a realistic 3D Pop Up Vignette Camera, Pop Up Card, Shaped Card, Shaped Scrapbook, Gift Card Holder, Wedding Tablesetting Favor and much more. As with all the other 3D Vignettes dies, it collapses flat to be sent in a regular envelope, which is definitely so cool!

For my card, I started off by die cutting all the different elements for the camera using my Platinum 6" Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I did not want to use very bright colours for the camera, so I limited my colour choices to Powder Blue Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, and Gold Mirror Cardstock. Once I had all the pieces die cut from various Cardstock sheets, I assembled it together following Becca's Video Tutorial. She walks you through the process in a very simple yet lucid way! I used copious amounts of foam tape and foam squares to adhere the layers, so that it would have a sturdy base. 

Next, I die cut two tabs from Powder Blue Cardstock and Whip Cream Cardstock using the message insert tab die. I wanted to add a little surprise for the recipient, so I thought I'd include these two tab inserts where they could pen down a special message or attach a photograph. 

I didn't want to keep the inserts as is, so I decided to pull out a few of my favourite stamp sets from Fun Stampers Journey to quickly dress them up. 

 I first worked on the blue insert - I used the Spring Bouquet stamp set to stamp the flowers and leaves, and a sentiment from the Text Happy Stamp Set. I used Pool Play, Cool Pool, and Huckleberry for the flowers, Sweet Pear for the leaves, and Licorice ink for the sentiment. Similarly, for the white insert, I used the Summer Rose Stamp Set and the Inside and Out Stamp Set to create my tab. I used the same ink colours, so that they'd coordinate with each other. 

I did not want to take away the focus from the camera, so I kept the rest of the card really simple. I die cut some flowers and leaves using the October 2019 and April 2019 Die of the Month Sets by Amazing Paper Grace from Whip Cream Cardstock. I coloured the flowers using Rustic Rose and Bubblegum inks, and the the leaves using Sweet Pear. I love using my FSJ inks for stamping as well as colouring die cut pieces. It's a great way to get more out of your ink pads too! I embossed the centres of the petals using the Stylus Tips for Tool N' One and then added Micro Thread Pollens to the centres for a more natural look. I also tucked in a little sentiment tag to accentuate my design. The sentiment is from the Text Happy Stamp Set and I stamped it using Licorice ink.

I mounted the camera to a piece of beach-themed designer paper which was then layered on to some Whip Cream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock respectively. I then adhered it down to a white card base. This was a labour of love, but totally worth the effort, don't you think!?
