Pinkfresh Studio | Beautiful Blossoms

Hello, crafty friends!
I have TWO Cards to share today on the Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog featuring the gorgeous, Thankful For Friends Stamp Set from the August Release.

For my card, I first stamped the floral image from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set on a piece of Canson Montval Watercolor Paper using a light dye ink. I stamped the image using a very light ink colour as I wanted to do no-line watercoloring. Next, I coloured the image using Liquid Watercolours. I used Bubble Gum and Candy Apple to colour the flowers, and Key Lime and Emerald City for the stem and leaves. This image has very detailed lines and requires quite a bit of patience to colour, but the end result is worth it, in my opinion.

Once my image was coloured, I die cut it using the coordinating Thankful For Friends Die Set. I contemplated for a while about how I wanted to incorporate it as a part of my card design, but ultimately decided to pop it up on my panel using fun foam for dimension. Once I was done, I took another piece of Watercolour Paper and did a watercolor wash on the panel using Licorice Liquid Watercolour. Next, I die cut a circle from this panel using the Essentials: Braided Circles Die Set. Once that was done, I die cut the panel using the Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

Then, I took a piece of Watercolor Paper and loosely painted stripes on it using Sunshine Liquid Watercolor. I adhered this piece behind my main card panel. I assembled my card together and adhered everything down using liquid glue. The sentiment is from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set and I stamped it using Detail Black Ink on a strip of White Cardstock. I lightly inked the edges using Fresh Pear ink to give it more definition. I finished off by adhering some yellow Jewels and black and green plaint splatters to my panel.

My next Card is somewhat special to me because it features an art form with which I actually began my paper crafting journey - Paper Quilling. I have always been very fascinated with it and decided to incorporate it for my card today with a modern twist. I have done Sculptural Quilling and used the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set for my design.

This took me over two days to complete simply because it is very labor-intensive and requires quite a bit of effort and patience to complete. I am quite rusty with my skills, but I really enjoyed working on this, and hope you like the idea too! The Thankful For Friends Stamp Set is so beautiful and I loved working with it to create this card.

For my card, I started off by stamping the floral image from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set using a very light dye ink to use as my reference point. Then, I used several 3mm and 5mm paper quilling strips to quill the entire piece. Once I finished working on the entire piece bit by bit, I adhered it down to my card base.

I wanted the design to be very clean and crisp, so I decided to add a die cut frame to elevate the look of the design. I die cut some frames from the Pretty Frames Die Set from White Cardstock and adhered them to my panel using foam strips. I also added few black paint splatters and white Jewels to add a little something to the design without making it too distracting.

To finish off, I added a tiny sentiment strip to my panel which is from the Charming Floral Wreath Stamp Set. I am quite happy with how it's turned out!

I hoped you liked my cards. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,

SOME DIFFERENT TAGS.

HI everyone how  have you all been it seems like everyone is very busy in the blogland right now and there is no time to craft much well the same goes for me too hence am posting some tags i had made a few days back. These are made for my brother who had come to visit me after a long gap of four years .So without any further ado here's a look at my tags.
    And now the back part.

I am sorry about so many pictures but i didn't want to combine and photograph all the tags together i felt that each one looked best on it own hence had to click separate  pictures of each tag.
And now something about the tags themselves i have tried  some variation in shapes like the round one where i have used a doily which i had purchased locally as my base for the punched flowers and have inked the edges using chalk inks and the second tag is again only quilling and the first is made using itsy bitsy flowers and also some punched flowers the last tag  is made using two different sizes  of   heart punch's and the leaves are hand cut the butterfly stamped and colored.
Hope u guys like my work your comments and suggestion are always welcome so please drop in a line.

ICRC CHALLENGE 8.(A SKETCH +SOME SEWING)

HI friends today i am sharing a card which i have made for the ICRC challenge 8 .I had been selected the GD for this time's challenge which is to follow a sketch and the twist being to add some stiching to it be it real or faux stiching .

and based on the above sketch here is my card have a look.

I have used only quilling on this card as i felt the design justified it.This card has been inspired by a card i had seen on the QUILLED CREATION'S gallery some time back .I  don't have a link to share as it was quiet some time back, i really liked that card and the colors and the design stayed with me and when i saw this sketch i felt it would work so well with it.
Now a little bit about the card it self as you can see i created a window effect by placing four squares and layering them in three colors ,the design mostly consist of leaves and a flowers so kept the colors two toned (green and red) the quiiling strips are from michaels which i had with me for quite some time the good thing about these strips is they are pretty thick and they give a nice glossy effect too i enjoyed working with it.the sentiment is stamped and have done a bit of faux stiching around it.that's all from me.
hope you guys like my work, and as always your comments are much appreciated so do drop in a line .hope all of you have a good day ahead.

A QUILLED GIFT BOX.

HI friends today i am posting an quilled wooden box which can be used as a gift box where u can place some choclates or any small gift or even use it as a trinket box to keep small knick knacks so here are the pictures for it.

This is a small wooden box which i have painted using acrylic paints and then done quilling on it .I have been wanting to try these paticular quilled flowers for quite some time now and when i decided to make this box i used these Quilled flowers. If any one is interested in a tutorial for them u can see them here.  I  also have used a paper lace to decorate the bottom of the box and also used itsy bitsy flowers on the top ,to add a bit of jazz to the card i have used a bit of glitter glue.

A PINK ON PINK CARD.

3HI everyone today i am sharing with you my monochramatic pink on pink card which is also the theme of this time's ICR CHALLENGE.
Please have a look first,

and now for a little closer detail,
This time i have done mostly quilling on my card .The centre flowers are called chrysanthemums or popularly known as mums, the centre of these flowers are fringed and  in which i have used bindis to highlight the very centre of the fringed flower .And for the stems and swirls i have used the looping technique as well as the regular swirls, the side paper lace is a martha stewart border punch(daisy) and the side flowers are from itsy bitsy, i have highlighted the flowers with a hobby ideas glitter glue which i had won  in snehal's candy for the ICR challenge 4.The thank you sentiment is stamped and i have used Making Memories brads to hold the sides. My background is a DP from Papermania on which the plain pink cardstock is placed ,the corners of which are punched with fiskars corner punch.I guess  thats about it all .Oh and for the tic tac toe  grid i have used the side first row of lace, flowers and brads.
Hope you guys like my work, any input will be appreciated so please leave a comment.Thank you and have a good day .
