Just For You | Card

Hello everyone,
I have a card to share today which I made solely with a stencil and watercolours. Here's a look at it :

To create this card, I first stenciled the design outline using the CrafTreat Poppy stencil on a piece of a watercolour paper using a black Microtip Pen. After I finished tracing the outline, I loosely watercoloured the poppies and the leaves using various shades of Distress inks.

I added this sentiment from the Altenew Label Love set. I also did some ink blending and added paint splatters to the background.

I added Nuvo drops in green, red and black to complete the card. I die-cut the card panel and popped it on a card base which was embossed using the Darice Woodgrain embossing folder and my card was done :)

I hope you liked my card which I shared today. If you have queries regarding any of the techniques or the products used, please let me know in the comments below, I will get back to you.

Trio of Gift Tags | Winnie & Walter

Hello everyone,
I have some really cute gift tags to share today. I love making these and it seems like I am very much into circular tags these days. :D Here's a look at all my tags :

Here is the individual view :

To create this tag, I went with the ombre look. I wanted to use the newly released dies from w and w as they are the perfect size for the tags. I'm especially in love with the Thanks word die.

I started with first die cutting some circles in white cardstock and then stamped and white heat embossed the background using the Mini Scenery stamp : Do You See What I See set. I then did some ink blending using Picked Raspberry Distress ink keeping the top part dark and gradually fading the ink blending, creating an ombre look.

I die cut the sentiment 'Celebrate' and colored it partially using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and the remaining half with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens. The flowers and leaves are stamped and die cut using the Winnie and Walter: The Big, the Bold and Extras set. The small poinsettia flower is from the In Bloom : Hollie's Festive Florals. I also added some Diamond Stickles over my die-cut sentiment to add some bling.

I made another tag keeping the design same, but changing the ink colours. I have used Fired Brick and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to get the orange colour. I ink blended the colours and created an ombre background.

Thanks Tag

The circle for this tag is cut from the w and w Ring in the Celebration cutaways. I love the scalloped look of it and even though it is not a stand-alone die, I think it looks great as an individual tag.

I heat-embossed the Mini Scenery : Do You See What I See using Ranger Super Fine White embossing powder. This time I used Broken China Distress ink to create the ombre background. The poinsettia and the foliage are from the In Bloom : Hollie's Festive Florals. I also added the thanks die cut from the Thanks Cutaway to complete my tag.

I hope you liked my tags :) I would love to hear what you think of them. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Congratulations on your new home | Card

Hello friends,
This is my second post for the day. I shared a CAS card in my previous post which you can check out HERE. I love making cards for house-warming and the Winnie and Walter Our Town set is my all time favourite to create cards for this occasion.  This is a very versatile set and has so many possibilities. Here's a look at my card :

I have tried to create a mini scene on my card. I started by first stamping the houses from the Winnie and Walter Our Town set in grey using the Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. I then stamped one of the houses in red to make it stand against the grey background.

Next, I popped two of the houses using foam tape for dimension. I then stamped the little clouds, sun and two trees on either side of the red house and red hearts using various dye inks. The yellow birds are a part of the Winnie and Walter Comfort + Joy set.  I also wanted my houses to have a bit of grounding, so I stamped the little pebbles using the same grey ink.

The sentiment has been masked from two different sets. The 'congratulations on your' is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set and the 'home' is from the Winnie and Walter Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs set. I added some diagonal grey Washi Tape to complete my card.

Sparkle & Shine | Card

Hello friends!
I have a new card to share today which I made using lots of techniques. Here's a look at it :

I started out by first creating my card background using Ink Smooshing.  I used Mustard Seed and Broken China Distress inks to ink smoosh the background. I also added few black and gold paint splatters.

I then started to work on the focal of my card. I wanted to create a diamond ring so I die-cut out a circle out of white cardstock and then foam mounted it to create a raised look. I then coloured it using Inka Gold in Old Gold. Next, I heat-embossed the diamond from the Winnie and Walter My Precious stamp set using Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder and I slightly coloured it using my Zig markers to give it a hint of colour like the light coming out from a faceted diamond.

I also stamped and heat-embossed the rays using the same embossing powder. The ring, the diamond and the rays were all popped on the card front using foam tape.  I then added some Gold Chevron Washi Tape on the four sides of my card to add some balance to the design. Finally, stamped the sentiment which is also from the My Precious set to complete my card. I have gone very CAS, which is not my forte, but this idea was stuck in my head and I just had to execute it.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges :

Winnie and Walter Background Building Challenge with Mayuri ( I have created my own background by watercoloring the grey stripes)

I hope you liked my today's card. I tried to keep it clean and simple :) I would love to hear what you think of it. Thank you so much for dropping by!

Just Saying Hello | Card

Hello everyone!
I know I'm on a blogging spree these days :D I have made a couple of cards specially for the WCMD challenges over at Winnie and Walter and so blogging about each, one by one. This is my second post for the day. Incase you missed my first post, you can check it out HERE.

For my card today, I used the CrafTreat Butterflies stencil. These butterflies are gorgeous when layered!

This one is very bright and colourful and to create this, I first embossed the insides of the butterflies using Versamark embossing ink and Super Fine White embossing powder by Ranger and heat-set it. Then I placed the outline of the butterfly and traced it using a stencil. I watercoloured the butterflies using two complimentary shades of Distress inks. I then fussy-cut them out and popped them over foam dots.

The colourful background was created by ink smooshing different colours of Distress inks on a piece of acetate, spraying water over the inks and then smooshing it on a watercolour card panel. I die-cut a rectangular frame and ink blended it using the same colours. The frame and the butterflies are adhered using foam tape.

I added strips of Black Washi Tape on the two sides and lots of Nuvo Drops. Then placed my sentiment strip which is also heat-embossed and my card was done!

There's no place like Home | Card

Hello friends!
I have a new card to share today which is pretty different from my usual style. This card has no flowers on it. (LOL!)
Here's a look at my card :

I have again used a stencil from CrafTreat on this card. This one is called the Layered Cityscape. This stencil comprises of two designs - the negative and positive of the Cityscape. The positive consists of all the windows and the details that you see in the buildings. The negative creates the silhouette of the cityscape.

To create this card, I first stenciled the silhouette of the buildings using Black Soot Distress ink. I sponged it quite heavily on a watercolour paper to give that extreme crisp black outline.  Using the positive design of the stencil, I create the window details by using the Papericious White Modelling Paste and with a spatula, I spread the paste over the design to create that raised effect. It looks super cool in real life!

I then did some ink blending on the background of the cityscapes using Distress inks and I die-cut a semicircle using a Spellbinders circle die on my card panel which I then popped over the inked background using foam dots. Before adhering the card panel, I stamped some red hearts and the black birds from the Winnie and Walter Our Town and Comfort + Joy stamp sets respectively. I also stamped the sentiment on the card front which is from the Winnie and Walter Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs stamp set. I added a strip of gold glitter paper and a strip of stamped back stripes along with few clear sequins to finish off my card.

Hugs for being Amazing | Card

Hi friends,
I am back with my second post for the day :D I have one more card to share using the same Rose stencil that I used in my previous post. If you have missed my first post, you can check it out HERE.

This time I have used shades of yellow to colour the rose.

The Rose stencil is a three-layered stencil and is very easy to work with as the stencils already have marks for alignment etched on it. I used Altenew Pocketful of Sunshine inks to colour this gorgeous rose. The leaves were also coloured using Altenew Tropical Forest inks. I coloured and fussy-cut them out and arranged them on my card panel.

I watercoloured light grey stripes on my card panel to compliment the yellow rose. I die-cut the word 'Hugs' out of black cardstock 4-5 times for creating that stacked look. The 'for being amazing' has been heat-embossed using White embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock. I also added two gold glitter butterflies, some clear sequins and black paint splatters to finish off my card.

This is how the card looks assembled together.

I am entering this card in the following challenges :
Winnie and Walter Background Building Challenge with Mayuri ( I have created my own background by watercoloring the grey stripes)
The Flower Challenge - Use Your Favourite Flower (If I win, I would like to go with The Ton)

I hope you liked my card. I would love to hear your comments/suggestions on it. They always make my day :)

Guest Post | CrafTreat Stencils

Hello everyone,
I have a card to share today which I made for my guest post over at the CrafTreat blog. They came up with some really beautiful stencils last month and Priya (the owner) very generously sent me few to try out :) Here is my first card I made using them.

This also happens to be my most favourite stencil from the release - the Layered Rose stencil. I have made a one-layer card and I masked the two roses so that they would look clustered together.

You can see the close-up of the layered rose.

I have used Altenew layering inks here in shades of pinks and greens to colour the flowers and leaves. I then added a strip of gold glitter paper and stamped black stripes on the left hand side of the card to balance the card design. Finally, stamped the sentiment which is from the Altenew Adore You stamp set and added enamel dots in various colours which were made using the Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I also added some black paint and gold paint splatters to complete the look.

I hope you like my card. This was really easy to make and came together very quickly. I do have some more cards to share on the CrafTreat blog. You can check them all HERE.

I'm entering this card in a couple of WCMD challenges. I did not get a chance to craft on WCMD, but nonetheless, I will be sharing some more cards very soon I made specially for the various challenges.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges :
w & w Stenciled challenge with Kate
Simon Says Stamp WCMD Challenge
Paru's Card Making Challenges - A Touch of Gold ( I have used a strip of gold glitter paper as well as gold paint splatters on my card)
The Flower Challenge - Use Your Favorite Flower (mine are roses) If I win, I would like to go with The Ton voucher.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I hope you like my card. If you did, please do let me know :) I would love to hear what you think of it.
