Congratulations | Card

Hello friends,
I have a card to share today which I made to participate in this month's Altenew challenge hosted by the incredibly talented, Erum. The colors and inspiration for this month are absolutely gorgeous, and here's my take on it :

To create this card, I have used the Rose Flurries 3D Die Set dies, and for the background, I have used the  Watercolor Stripes Cover die to emboss my card panel rather than die cut it. As you can see, the results are just as amazing :)

I first die cut a bunch of roses and leaves from the Rose Flurries 3D Die Set dies from some watercolor cardstock and did watercoloring on each layer using Altenew inks.

Since Altenew inks come in color family shades, this made my work really easy. I am listing all the ink shades I used - for the shades of pink, I used Cherry Blossom Mini Cube Set, for the yellows, I have used Pocketful of Sunshine Mini Cube Set, for the orange, I have used Warm & Cozy Mini Cube Set, and for the greens, I have used my all-time favorite green ink Tropical Forest Mini Cube Set.

This card is pretty simple to put together and I really loved using the layered dies to create this.

Linking my card to the Altenew 2018 Inspiration challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I would love to hear what you think of my card :)

There's no place like Home | Card

Hello friends!
I have a new card to share today which is pretty different from my usual style. This card has no flowers on it. (LOL!)
Here's a look at my card :

I have again used a stencil from CrafTreat on this card. This one is called the Layered Cityscape. This stencil comprises of two designs - the negative and positive of the Cityscape. The positive consists of all the windows and the details that you see in the buildings. The negative creates the silhouette of the cityscape.

To create this card, I first stenciled the silhouette of the buildings using Black Soot Distress ink. I sponged it quite heavily on a watercolour paper to give that extreme crisp black outline.  Using the positive design of the stencil, I create the window details by using the Papericious White Modelling Paste and with a spatula, I spread the paste over the design to create that raised effect. It looks super cool in real life!

I then did some ink blending on the background of the cityscapes using Distress inks and I die-cut a semicircle using a Spellbinders circle die on my card panel which I then popped over the inked background using foam dots. Before adhering the card panel, I stamped some red hearts and the black birds from the Winnie and Walter Our Town and Comfort + Joy stamp sets respectively. I also stamped the sentiment on the card front which is from the Winnie and Walter Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs stamp set. I added a strip of gold glitter paper and a strip of stamped back stripes along with few clear sequins to finish off my card.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges :

I hope you liked my card. I would love to hear your comments/suggestions on it. They always make my day :)

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Hi Fabulous | Card

Hi friends!
I am back again to share my this week's inspiration card for Honey Bee Stamps. Here's a look at it :

To start with, I cut-out several die-cuts of the Honey Bee Honey cuts - Fabulous die. I then used my Gansai Tambi Watercolor pan (Color number. 64) to colour all of them lightly and I arranged them on my card panel. Next, I die-cut the frame on the right side of the card using a Gina Marie Designs die and then coloured it using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide. The main pink floral is from the Honey Bee Stamps Lotus Blossom set. I have colored the flower as well as the leaves & foliage using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. The leaves and foliage are from the Zen Florals set which have been stamped, heat-embossed & then die-cut using the Zen Florals die. The big sentiment 'Hi' is from the Hello Gorgeous set which is again stamped and die-cut using the coordinating die. As usual, I added few black paint splatters and sequins as the finishing touch for my card :)

Here's another look at my card :

I'm entering my card in The Flower Challenge - Embossing (I've clear heat-embossed the leaves and foliage).

I hope you like my card. Do let me know if you did :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a nice day!

Happy Wishes!

Hi, friends!
Sharing another card I made recently for my post at Mudra. This one is quite different from my usual style and it has very bright & bold colours. Here's a look :

To create this card :
I first die-cut a card panel using an A2 sized die from one of my favorites, Gina Marie Designs. I have die-cut this panel using Canson Watercolour paper. I then distressed the entire panel using three different shades of Distress inks in shades of yellow.Added some white splatters using Picket Fence Distress Stain Spray, pink splatters using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and some golden splatters using Inka Gold.  I then added some texture using a stencil by MFT and Texture paste and sprinkled some Ranger Dry Glitter while the paste was wet to add some really amazing shine to it.

I die-cut a frame using black cardstock and clear embossed it thrice to give it a glossy effect using  Ranger Super Fine Clear embossing powder and Versamark ink.
I stamped the butterfly using Versamark embossing ink and embossed it using Ranger Gold Glitter Embossing powder from Ranger and heat set it.

I colored the butterfly using Picked Raspberry Distress ink. I then stamped the "Birthday" sentiment from the Butterflies set and added the "Wishes" part from another stamp from the previous release - Sentiment EssentialsI then colored the sentiment banner using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and foam mounted it. Finally added two black enamel dots on the sides of the sentiment banner to finish off my card.

I'm entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp- Anything Goes, Cards in Envy - Frame, Dream Valley - Embossing, Incy Wincy- All that Glitters (Have used glitter embossing powder on the butterfly & sentiment as well as white glitter on the stenciled background), and Love to Create- Anything Goes/ Mixed Media.

I hope you like this card of mine. Do leave me your comments/suggestions regarding it. I love to hear from you :)

Have a nice day everyone!

MFT Florals | Card Two

Hello, friends!
Back again with my second submission for the MFT Superstar Contest. This time around, I have used the same stamp set as the previous one which is the MFT Desert Blooms set, but I have tried to play with some unusual colours using the same set, here's a look :

For this card, I have used cream cardstock from MFT as my base. This cardstock has some interesting texture in it and it's the most gorgeous shade of cream. I first embossed the background using the MFT Mini Chicken Wire Cover Plate then did some wet embossing using texture paste and the Grid Stencil from MFT adding a slight hint of blue color to the paste. Added some black spatters and stamped the flowers and leaves using just two shades of ink : Altenew Ruby Red and Dark Chocolate ink. The gears are die-cut from another MFT Die-namics called Time Pieces. This was distressed using Dark Chocolate ink as well. I finally added some gold glitter die-cut leaves and flourishes. The sentiment is from a SSS Stamp set .

I hope you like it. Do leave me your comments/suggestions regarding it. Have a nice day everyone!
