Guest Post using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Through The Garden Gate

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be back today to share a couple of projects using the Through the Garden Gate Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The GORGEOUS garden-themed dies and heartfelt greetings in this Collection inspired me to create a set of three cards perfect for sending to your friends and family! 

My first card features the Hollyhock Etched Dies, Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Dies, and the Beeblossom Etched Dies. I paired it with the dies from the Fluted Classics Ovals Etched Dies and added a few tropical bunches to this cheerful thank-you card.

To create my card, I began by die cutting Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock with the flower, stem, leaf, and stamen dies from the Hollyhock Etched Dies, Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Dies, and the Beeblossom Etched Dies until I had enough pieces to form two blooms. I coloured the petals using Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, and Picked Raspberry Distress inks, and shaped them using the loop tool. Next, I coloured the stem and leaves using Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, and Gathered Twigs Distress inks and shaped them with the leaf tool included in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Then, I coloured the stamens with Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress inks and added Yellow Flower Pollen to the lower tips with liquid glue. Once they dried, I rolled the pieces and adhered them down with liquid glue. Once that was done, I assembled the flowers with liquid glue.

Next, I colored the Beblossom petals using Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress inks and added a bit of light pink to the very center of all of the flower petal die-cuts using a Copic marker. Then, with a medium pink Copic marker, I flicked some colour out from the center to add some quick color to the flowers. Once that was done, I shaped the petals using the loop tool and bent the edges upward with tweezers. I coloured and shaped the stamens and leaves as done previously for the hollyhocks. 

I wanted to keep the focus on the flowers, so I kept of the design really simple.  I created the background pattern using the “ink smooshing” technique.  I pressed Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, and Broken China Distress Inks onto different areas of my craft mat and spritzed them with water until they beaded up. I pressed a piece of watercolor cardstock into the droplets and dried it with a heat gun. Once I was happy with the background pattern, I used Antique Gold Metallic Spray and Jet Black Ink Spray to add some splatters to the background to make it extra artsy. I wanted the panel to have a framed look, so I debossed the Large Rectangle Outer Rim and Insert dies from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies for a lovely thick impression on the paper. Then, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock, Mirror Gold Cardstock, and White Foam using the Medium Oval Rim and Insert and Small Inner Rim and Insert dies from the Fluted Classics Ovals Etched Dies. I adhered the layers together using liquid glue, allowing a bit of the gold to show as a shadow. 

I arranged the flowers and leaves on my panel and adhered them down using a Hot Glue Gun. Next, I applied Gold Hot Foil to Snowdrift Cardstock using the Sentiments for Everyday Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and adhered it down on my panel using foam squares for a raised effect. I matted the panel with a layer of Mirror Gold Cardstock and adhered the panel down to a top-folding A2-sized white card base using tape runner. I added a few Gold Mix Color Essential Gems to embellish. 

My next card features the Gardenia Etched Dies and the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Dies. This is one of my favourite die sets from the Collection and i am quite pleased with how my card turned out. I love the contrast of the white gardenias against the black ink-blended background!

To make this card, I began by die cutting Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock with the Petals and Leaf Dies from the Gardenia Etched Die Set and the Petals, Stem, and Stamen Dies from the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Die Set. Then, I shaded the centre of the gardenia petals with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks and shaped the flower pieces with a loop tool and tweezers. 

Next, I coloured the flowers of the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Die Set using Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick,  Abandoned Coral, and Mustard Seed Distress inks and shaped the flower petals with a ball stylus. Next, I coloured the stem using Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress inks and the leaves using Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress inks and shaped them with the leaf tool and small ball stylus included in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. 

Next, to add a bit of contrast, I die-cut a diamond in the middle of the background panel using the Inner Diamond Die from the Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Next, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock and White Foam using the coordinating Outer Diamond Die and Inner Diamond Die from the set and adhered it over the card panel for a raised effect. After I’d finished die-cutting the images, I used blending brushes to blend some Black Soot and Hickory Smoke inks on the left side the panel, sprinkling some water droplets on the blended area, then dabbing them with a paper towel to pull up the color. Once done, I dried the panel and added fine gold and pink paint splatters for a dramatic look. Then, I adhered down the flowers, stem, and foliage around the frame using Hot Glue. 

The sentiment was foiled in gold using one of the plates from the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set on Snowdrift Cardstock and popped up on top with foam adhesive. Next, I used Gold Hot Foil to foil Onyx Cardstock using one of the sentiments from the Mini Sincere Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and cut it out using the coordinating die. I adhered the piece onto my panel using foam squares for a raised effect. Then, to complete, I mat my background panel with Snowdrift Cardstock before adhering it to a side-folding white card base with tape runner. I finished the design with some sparkling gold sequins around the bouquet to embellish.

My final project for today feature the Floribunda Rose Etched Dies and the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Dies. The Floribunda Rose is one of the most impressive-looking flower in the collection and I wanted to make sure I used a canvas large enough to really show off all of the layers and detail.

To create my card, I first die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock with all of the Petals and Leaf Dies from the Floribunda Rose Die Set and the Petals and Stamen Dies from the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Etched Die Set. I coloured the Color the flower centers with Dried Marigold and Wild Honey Distress inks and and used Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink to colour the tips. Next, I shaped each petal with the loop tool and tweezers from the Ultimate Tool Kit and cupped them with the large ball tip before adhering the layers of petals together with liquid glue. For the bud, I used Spiced Marmalade and Dried Marigold Distress inks to colour the pieces and shaped the smallest two layers with a large ball stylus before adhering together.

The leaves were coloured Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, and Gathered Twigs Distress inks and shaped with the leaf tool included in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Next, I coloured the flowers of the Forget-Me-Not and Ladybugs Die Set using Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks and the centres with Dried Marigold ink. 

I wanted the background to be clean and crisp, so I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock with the Scallop Rim and Outer Lace Eyelet Dies from the Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Dies. I then die-cut the coordinating layers with the Rectangle Outline and Inner Eyelet Insert dies and Inner Rectangle Outline and Inner Eyelet Insert dies from the same set out of Snowdrift Cardstock and adhered it to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.

Next, I die cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the Inner Oval Outline Die from the Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Dies. I stamped a sentiment onto the piece in Versafine Onyx Black ink and popped it on the die-cut panel using foam adhesive for dimension. Then, to finish, I adhered all the flowers and leaves down to the left of my panel with liquid glue and adhered the background panel to a top-folding A7-sized card base using tape runner.

Guest Post featuring Spellbinders Susan's Garden Favourites Collection

I am delighted to be guest designing on the Spellbinders blog highlighting the NEW Susan's Garden Favourites Collection. The breathtaking blooms and unique elements in this Collection inspired me to create three soft and cheery springtime cards featuring some of my favourite flowers.

I loved the big bold blooms in the Sunflower and Ladybugs Die Set, so I decided to create with that first. I combined it with different elements from the Sunflower and Ladybugs Etched Dies, Freesia Etched Dies, Bearded Iris Etched Dies, Lilac Etched Dies, Dogwood Etched Dies, along with the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies.

To create my card, I first die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the sunflower dies in the Sunflower and Ladybugs Die Set. I die cut enough layers to help me create on full sunflower. Next, I blended Orange Gouache in the center of each layer with a paint brush and then applied Yellow Gouache to the tips of each petal. I shaped the petals using the tweezers in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and adhered the layers together with liquid glue. Next, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the flower centre and seed dies in the Sunflower and Ladybugs Die Set. I coloured the pieces using Brown Gouache and cupped the petals using the small ball tip in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and adhere the layers together with liquid glue. Next, I added Gold and Orange Glitter Balls to the centres for a realistic touch. 

Next, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the leaf dies in the Sunflower and Ladybugs Die Set and Fern Cardstock using the curved and straight leaf dies included in the Bearded Iris Etched Dies. I coloured the white leaves using Green Gouache and added a vein to each using the leaf tip tool in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit.  Next, I shaped the tips using the medium ball tip for a more realistic finish. Once that was done, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the branch die in the Freesia Etched Dies and coloured the pieces using Brown Gouache. Then, to create additional filler flowers and foliage for my card, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the petal layers and bud dies in the Freesia Etched Dies. I coloured the die-cuts using Lilac Gouache and then used a dark orange Copic Marker to flick some colour out from the center to add some quick colour to the petals. Then, I embossed each piece using the tweezers in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and adhered the layers together with liquid glue. Next, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the bloom die set in the Lilac Etched Die Set. I coloured the die-cut pieces using Light Pink and Blue Gouache and cupped the petals using  using the small ball tip in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I added Silver and Orange Glitter Balls to the centre of the lilacs for added interest.

Next, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the Large Rectangle Outer Rim and Insert Die together from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies to create a frame for my card front. Then, I trimmed a panel of White Cardstock to size and wet the panel with water and used Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks with a Water Brush in a dabbing motion, allowing the colors to mix slightly. Next, I placed a stencil in the centre of the panel and applied Mint Ink lightly all over with a blending brush to create a soft background. I stamped a sentiment from the Garden Favorites Sentiments Clear Stamp Set on to the panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I adhered the flowers, foliage, and frame down on to my panel using the Bearly Art Original Precision Craft Glue for a strong hold. Then, as a finishing touch, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the four spot ladybug die in the Sunflower and Ladybugs Die Set and coloured the piece using a red Copic Marker and Black Fineliner Pen to add some details to the body. I adhered it down on one of the leaves and then mounted my card front to an A7-sized white card base using tape runner. 

My next card features the Clematis Etched Dies, which is one of the most impressive-looking flowers in the collection. I wanted to make sure I used a canvas large enough to really show off all of the layers and detail, so I created a 6” x 6” Card, which would be perfect to gift someone on their wedding or any other really special occasion.

To create my card, I first die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the flower dies in the Clematis Etched Dies. I die-cut just enough petals to help me create two large flowers for my card front. Next, I used a Light Pink Copic Marker to create sweeping strokes from the center of the flower stopping before the outer edge of the petal, leaving some white area. Once that was done, I blended Spun Sugar Distress ink to the centre of the flowers with a sponge dauber and around the edges of the die-cuts to add dimension. Next, I shaped the petals using the tweezers and the loop tool from the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I then die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the the stamen die included in the set and coloured the pieces using a Yellow Copic Marker and cupped the petals using  using the small ball tip in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. 

Next, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the leaf dies in the Clematis Die Set and Fern Cardstock using the curved and straight leaf dies included in the Bearded Iris Etched Dies. I coloured the white leaves using Spring Green Gouache and added a vein to each using the leaf tip tool in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit.  Next, I shaped the tips using the medium ball tip for a more realistic finish. 

Once that was done, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the branch die in the Dogwood Etched Die Set and coloured the pieces using Brown Gouache. Then, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the Large Circle Outer Rim, Insert, and Inner Rim Dies from the Fluted Classics Circle Etched Dies. I die-cut another piece of Snowdrift Cardstock and White Fun Foam using the Large Circle Insert Die to create a window for my card panel. I adhered the circle frame down on to the panel using foam squares for a raised effect and arranged the flowers and foliage down around the frame. Next, I placed a stencil in the centre of the card base and applied Blush Ink lightly all over with a blending brush to create a soft stenciled background. Then, I stamped a sentiment from the Garden Favorites Sentiments Clear Stamp Set on to a strip of Snowdrift Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I die-cut the sentiment using a coordinating banner die and adhered the piece onto my panel using foam squares for a raised effect.  

Next, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the bloom die set included in the Lilac Etched Die Set. I coloured the die-cut pieces using Light Blue Gouache and cupped the petals using  using the small ball tip in Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Then, I added Silver Glitter Balls to the centre of the lilacs for added interest and adhered them to my panel using the Bearly Art Original Precision Craft Glue. Then, to finish, I affixed the card front to my 6" X 6" white card base using foam tape for dimension. Then, as a finishing touch, I adhered a few Teal Color Essentials Gems around my floral wreath. I love the beautiful sparkle of the gems! 

My last card for today features the Dogwood Etched Dies, along with the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies. I thought I'd create a Dogwood floral branch for this card and wanted the die set to be the star of the show for this one. This cheery card would be perfect for sending a happy hello to a friend or to just let them know that you have been thinking about them.

For my card, I first die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the blossom petal dies in the Dogwood Etched Dies. I cut out a bunch of the blossoms, just enough to help me create a number of Dogwood floral branches. I blended Light Pink Gouache onto about half of each petal and added veins to the petals using the leaf tip tool in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I shaped the tips using the medium ball tip and then die-cut the stamens out of Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock. I coloured the tips of the pieces using an Orange Copic marker and shaped the pieces using the small ball tip in the in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Susan’s assembly videos helped me abundantly while creating the flowers and made it a really relaxing and fun process.  

Next, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock and White Fun Foam using the branch dies in the Dogwood Etched Dies. I adhered two stems branches together with liquid glue to form sturdier die-cuts. Next, I applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges of the die-cuts using a blending tool to add depth. Once that was done, I die-cut Susan's Garden Specialty Cardstock using the tiny leaf dies in the set and coloured them using Light Green and Spring Green Gouache  \and added veins to the leaves using the leaf tip tool in the Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I shaped the tips using the small ball tip for dimension and kept them aside to work on my background. 

I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock and White Fun Foam using the Large Rectangle Outer Rim and Insert dies from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Die Set. Next, I die-cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the Medium Insert Die from the Fluted Classics Ovals Etched Die to create a window for my card panel and ink blended the left one-quarter of the panel using Tumbled Glass Distress ink, concentrating the darker shade towards the top. I then flicked some blue paint on my panel using a paint brush for a fun splatter effect. Once that was done, I trimmed another piece of Snowdrift Cardstock to size and ink blended the centre of the panel using Tumbled Glass Distress ink again, concentrating the darker shade towards the left. Once I was happy with the way it looked, I adhered the layers down on my card base using liquid glue. I adhered down the branches and dogwood flowers on my panel using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares for dimension. Then, to complete, I stamped a sentiment from the Garden Favorites Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to the card panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Lastly, I mounted the panel to a top-folding card base using tape runner and embellished the card using a few Teal Color Essentials Gems. I am quite happy with the way this turned out!

Spellbinders Susan's Garden Club Collection

Hello everyone!

I am back today to share a couple of cards featuring dies from the NEW Susan's Garden Club by Spellbinders. This is an exquisite collection comprising a variety of realistic florals which will help you add classic garden blooms into your creations. If you're a botanist or a flower enthusiast, you will certainly enjoy creating with the dies in this collection!

My first card features the Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot, Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies, Mosaic Bracket Card Builder Etched Dies, and the Sending You Stamp & Die Set. 

I think all flowers are beautiful, but there is something about a rose that makes it a prize to receive, to grow and to create using paper. My first card HAD to feature them in one of my all-time favorite colors - Pink! The tea pot and the lovely foliage made designing this card so much easy and fun!

To create my card, I first die cut Susan's Specialty Cardstock using the flower dies from the Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot Die Set using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. I die cut quite a number of pieces, as I wanted to create a bunch of four flowers in total for my card. I coloured the die cut pieces using watercolor half-pans in the shades - Cotton Candy and Coral Berry and shaped the petals using the loop tool and tweezers from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Next, I die cut Fern Cardstock using the leaf and fern dies from the Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot Die Set and Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies. I added striations and veins to the die cut pieces using the leaf tool from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and blended Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide around the centres using a sponge dauber for interest. 

Next, I die cut Watercolor Sheets and Brush Gold Cardstock using the teapot die included in the Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot Die Set. I watercoloured the piece using Mountain Mist paint and adhered the gold die cut pieces along the bottom of the teapot and the handle. Once that was done, I went ahead and die cut Snowdrift Cardstock and Brush Gold Cardstock using the mosaic pattern die from the Mosaic Bracket Card Builder Etched Dies and slightly offset the two pieces to create an illusion of depth. I adhered it to my card panel using foam adhesive and then assembled the rest of the card together. I then stamped the sentiment from the Sending You Stamp Set onto Snowdrift Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then die cut out the images using the coordinating dies. I popped them on to my card panel using foam tape for dimension.

 I matted my card panel to Pink Sand Cardstock and adhered it to a side-folding white square card base with tape runner. Then, to finish, I added a row of white pearls to the bottom of the tea cup and around my background panel, which were coloured using a Sharpie Metallic Marker in Gold. 

My next card features the Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery, Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies, and the Sending You Stamp & Die Set.  

To begin, I die cut Susan's Specialty Cardstock using the flower dies from the Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery Die Set using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. I die cut a large number of petals to help me create three large and a couple of other smaller flowers. I love Pink Dahlias, so I tried to create them using paper on my card here. I coloured the pieces using watercolor half-pans in Rubellite, Coral Berry, and Cotton Candy, and shaped the petals using the loop tool and tweezers from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Next, I die cut Fern Cardstock using the leaf, fern, and ivy dies included in the Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery Die Set and Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies. I added striations and veins to the die cut pieces using the leaf tool from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and blended Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide to the centres using a sponge dauber. I must also mention here that I have followed Susan's method of colouring and shaping the flowers as demonstrated in her videos on the Spellbinders YouTube channel, so if you would like to learn how to create such realistic-looking flowers, I highly recommend following her videos. 

Next, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper from Papericious's The Date Night Collection to a 5.75" square, mat it to a panel of Brushed Silver Cardstock, and then adhered it to a top-folding white square card base with tape runner. Next, I die cut Portobello Cardstock using the Pottery Die from the Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery Die Set. I blended Aged Mahogany Distress Ink around the edges of the die-cut to add dimension. I popped the blooms, foliage, and the pot on to my card panel using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam squares.

 The sentiment from the Sending You Stamp Set was stamped on to Snowdrift Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then die cut out using the coordinating die. I trimmed out the secondary part of the sentiment 'Lots of Love' using my scissors and popped the pieces to my card background using foam adhesive. Then, to complete my design, I adhered a few Crystal Clear Droplets in varying sizes. 

Moving on to my third card for the day, which features the Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket Die Set and the Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies. I decided to incorporate some stenciling on this card for texture and dimension. 

For my card, I first die cut Susan's Specialty Cardstock using the flower dies from the Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket Die Set using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. I die cut quite a large number of flowers, since I wanted to create a bucket overflowing with handmade flowers. I blended two shades of orange (Sunkissed and Orange Cream) to colour the die cut pieces and shaped the petals using the loop tool and tweezers from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I added White Micro Pearl Beads to the centres of each flower for interest and kept them aside to work on my other card elements.

Next, I die cut Fern Cardstock using the leaf and ivy dies included in the Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket Die Set and Ferns & Ivy Etched Dies. I added striations and veins to the die cut pieces using the leaf tool from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit and blended Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide around the edges of the pieces using a sponge dauber for definition. Next, I die cut Graphite Cardstock using the Antique Wooden Bucket Die from the Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket Die Set. I also die cut Silver Mirror Cardstock using the Bucket Bail Die and Timber Cardstock using the Bucket Bail Handle Die. I assembled the piece together using liquid adhesive and kept it aside to work on my stenciled background. 

Next, I secured the Cubist Cube Stencil on a sheet of Watercolor Paper to stencil over the background using Modelling Paste mixed with Silver Lake ink. Once the panel was dry, I lightly watercolored the bottom of it with Paper Bag Ink as a way to ground the images. I also watercolored the upper two-thirds of the panel using Mountain Mist ink to help bring the colours together. I then adhered the geraniums and the bucket together on my stenciled card background using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam tape. The sentiment was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black onto a panel of Snowdrift Cardstock and then cut out using a Mini Tag Die. I matted my card background to a custom-colored panel, which was watercolored using Sunkissed and Orange Cream inks, and then adhered it to a top-folding white card base with tape runner. 

My last card for today features the Oriental Lily and Wellies Die Set, Kerria Japonica Etched Dies, Shapeabilities Vintage Stitched Squares Etched Dies, and the Sending You Stamp & Die Set. The cute rain boots included in the Oriental Lily and Wellies Die Set are very hard to resist, so I combined it with a bouquet of handmade lilies blooms for a cheerful thank you card.

To create my card, I first die cut Susan's Specialty Cardstock using the flower dies from the Oriental Lily and Wellies Die Set using my Spellbinders Platinum 6" Machine. I die cut a sizable number of petals to help me create three flowers for my card. I colored the centre of the petals using Pink Diamond and Cotton Candy watercolor half-pans and shaped the petals using the loop tool and tweezers from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. The tips of the stamens were coloured using Festive Berries Distress ink, while the base was coloured using Twisted Citron Distress ink. I also added some dot and line details with Alcohol Markers on the petals to help make the lilies look very realistic. 

Next, I die cut Fern Cardstock using the leaf and branch dies included in the Oriental Lily and Wellies Die Set and Kerria Japonica Etched Dies. I added striations and veins to the die cut pieces using the leaf tool and small ball stylus from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I also die cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the Medium and Small Flower dies included in the Kerria Japonica Etched Die Set. I coloured the pieces using the Cotton Candy Paint Pan and shaped the petals using the loop tool and tweezers from Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I added White Micro Pearl Beads to the centres of each flower for interest and kept them aside to work on my other card elements.

I die cut Watercolor Paper using the Wellies die included in the Oriental Lily and Wellies Die Set. I watercolored the piece using Frayed Leaf and Mountain Mist half-pans and then embossed the panel using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Next, I die cut Watercolor Paper using the Square 2 Die in the Shapeabilities Vintage Stitched Squares Etched Dies. Then, I cut an aperture in the centre of the panel using the Nestabilities Classic Ovals (Large) Etched Dies. Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Sending You Stamp Set on to Snowdrift Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then cut it out using the coordinating die. I trimmed out the secondary part of the sentiment 'A Big Thank You' using my scissors and popped the pieces to my card background using foam adhesive. I lightly inked the die cut sentiment using Cotton Candy ink for interest. 

The card panel was foam mounted to a top-folding white square card base for dimension. I assembled the wellies, the lilies, and the sentiment on my die cut panel and popped them to my panel using foam adhesive. Then, to finish, I popped the sentiment strip up on the bottom of the card with foam adhesive.
