Baby Layout | Step by Step Tutorial

Hello friends!
I'm back today to share with you a cute baby layout which could also be used as a wall frame to showcase some adorable baby pictures of your little ones to relive the memories of their childhood :)

This entire LO is made using the Little Star paper pack by Papericious. This pack has some of the most adorable prints for creating not only baby albums, cards, or layouts/frames, but it has so many cute elements which can be fussy cut to highlight your project.

I have shared a short tutorial showing you how I have created all the embellishments in my LO using this particular paper pack. Scroll down below for it :)

A close-up of the polaroid frames which can hold your baby's pictures. The cute little rattle and the kite are fussy cut from the pattern papers in this collection.

Some circle embellishments which I have made to coordinate with my LO.

The title 'Baby' has been die-cut from one of the dino themed papers in this paper pack. I simply love this print! The cute boats are cut into a strip from a pattern paper to layer as a border.

The 'My Little World' embellishment has been die-cut from the embellishment sheet included in this paper pack using an oval die and placed over a decorative oval die-cut from Spellbinders. The blue star was fussy-cut from the embellishment sheet again and foam mounted.

The small flowers have been punched from the polka dot pattern papers in this pack and the leaves have been die-cut from the dino themed paper I mentioned about earlier. These make the perfect coordinating embellishments and the paper pack is extremely versatile as you can see.  The 'baby' sentiment has been fussy-cut from one of the pattern papers in this pack and foam mounted for added interest. Looks cool, doesn't it ?!

Life is beautiful- Layout

Hello, everyone!
I'm posting after a long time on my blog but have not stopped crafting. I have been posting regularly on the Papericious blog and I will be catching up with all my remaining posts here soon. Today, I have the very gorgeous Infinity Collection from Papericious to share. As soon as I received these papers in my DT kit, I knew it would be perfect for a mixed media layout. The gorgeous prints and the coordinating die cuts are perfect for creating a shabby chic project, so here's a look at what I have made using these beautiful papers.

To create my LO, I selected one of the 12 X 12 " sheet from the Infinity collection and stuck it on a sturdy 12 X 12" cardstock. I, gessoed over the entire paper, once that was dry, I went to work with texture paste and a stencil which I had created using a die cut. Then, I sprayed and colored over my stenciled area with Lindy's Stamp Gang and Heidi Swapp sprays. All the die cuts that I used on this layout, are from the Infinity Collection Die cuts pack itself. I, further embellished it using my handmade flowers and a little bit of stamping on the background to create more texture.
My LO was totally inspired by the Mood Board from Scrap Around the World- December Challenge. The gold glitter, the sentiment- "Future is bright" and the colors of the moodboard are my main inspiration which I've tried to incorporate within my layout.

Here are some close-up pictures for you to see all  the details :

Memories! ...

Hi friends!
We, at Lulupu have a very interesting challenge for this fortnight which is Vacation/Travel/Holidays - Only LO Theme for our Challenge #29. With this month nearly coming to an end, you just have two more days to join in the fun.
Here's what I have created for our current challenge :

And, you know what ? This is my first ever layout. and I was quite nervous about creating it but once I got the right pictures to scrap about, and, the sketch from Once upon a ..Sketch Challenge, I was all set. And, this is what I ended up creating :
My LO is based on my parent's first international trip to the U.S.A to meet my brother and his family. My brother and me were so excited and nervous at the same time as my parent's were travelling alone. But, by God's grace, everything went quite smoothly and they really had a very good time in California where my brother is put up. The photo that I am scrapping about was taken on a water-front near Milpitas and it was really cold there as my parent's had traveled during the winter's.
Sadly, this was my father's first and last trip to U.S as he is no more with us. I really, really miss him a lot. So, this layout has a special significance for me. Since, this trip was one of the big events of my parent's life, in a way, it was even mine and my brother's.

Some more views of the layout with a little bit of journaling done :

Here's a close-up of my flower cluster :

And a close up of the removable Tag on which the journalling is done :

A little bit about how I made this. For the base, I first took a 300gsm white cardstock and stuck my DCWV pattern paper over it. Then, I used the Sakura Modelling paste and TCW Hexagons Stencil on the two corners of my LO to create the hexagon background. Most of the bright, cheerful die-cuts used on my LO are from the Simple Stories Travel Snap! cards which I have fussy-cut and stuck on my LO with 3D Foams tabs to give it a little bit of dimension. The flowers are all die-cut using Spellbinder's die and I have used brads on the centre of my flowers. Added a little bit of journaling on a removable tag!

Supplies used :
Base paper : Local Cardstock
Pattern papers : DCWV, Pebbles Basic Cardmaking paper pad, My Mind's Eye..
Dies : Spellbinder's Rose Creations, Memory box Fabulous Phlox dies.
