Thanks for all that you have done!

Hello friends,
Today I have a card to share which I have made especially to play along with this time's Altenew Challenge. The colors this time are absolutely bright and gorgeous and I really wanted to work with them. Here's a look at what I created using them :

This one has lots of techniques involved. To start with, I used a piece of white cardstock measuring 4.5 inches X 5.25 inches and then ink blended it using my newest Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber ink & Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink. Love the beautiful ink blending we get with these Oxide inks! I embossed this piece using the WRMK Next Level - Geometric Embossing folders. Then for my focal I die-cut the Altenew Thanks die from some watercolour cardstock on which I had previously done some ink blending and water spritz and also die-cut the word once more from a black foam sheet. I then stamped, and fussy-cut the images from the Altenew Remember This stamp set. This set has some gorgeous florals and foliage. I colored the flowers using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I then added strips of black striped Washi Tape to further enhance the card. I added a white heat-embossed sentiment from the Wplus9 Ranunculus set and I used my Nuvo Crystal Drops for the finishing touches.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges :
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

I hope you like my card. As always your comments and suggestions are welcome. Have a good day everyone!

Soft Watercoloring with Masking Fluid | Card

Hello bloggy friends,
I have a card to share today which I created for my inspiration post over at Pretty Paper Studio. It's something I have never tried before so I really enjoyed the creative process. I have a tutorial to share as well on how I created my card.

I have used masking Fluid by Winsor and Newton to mask my flowers and background. Here's a look at the step by step process :

For this technique, all you need is a bottle of masking fluid, a paint brush and ofcourse some watercolour paper and mediums. To begin with, draw some loose florals using your masking fluid on a watercolour paper. I used a real-life stamp set from the Wplus9 Freehand Florals set for my inspiration. You can use any stamped image or even an illustration for your reference. After you use your paint brush to draw using your masking fluid, let it dry.

A look at the image after using Masking Fluid.

Once it’s dry, start adding watercolours around your masked areas. Let the water do all the work for you by picking very little pigment of watercolour as shown below. I have used Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens for colouring, but you can definitely use any medium of your choice. I’m not a pro at colouring nor a professional artist, I have just played around with the masking technique to create a look which was pretty to me.

I continued colouring free hand with my Zig Markers to create the delicate foliage and flowers. Once I was happy with the floral arrangement, I die-cut this card panel using a Winnie and Walter die and mounted it to my card base. I stamped my sentiment which is from the Altenew Amazing You stamp set and added few clear sequins and black paint splatters to finish off my card.

With Love | Shaker Tag!

Hello friends,
Today I am sharing a shaker tag which I had created to play along the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Challenges. It's my first ever shaker tag and I have shared about it on my Instagram with a small video. If you follow me on Instagram I am sure you have seen this before :)

Here's a look at my tag :

To create my tag, I first die cut a tag window using the Lawn Fawn Tag You're It die. I then added a piece of acetate on the back side. The back panel of the shaker tag is stamped with the  Mini Scenery: Multigrain using the Aqua Mist ink from Papertrey Ink. Then I added some sequins to the centre and foam mounted my acetate panel on it. The focal flower and leaves are from my all time favorite Winnie and Walter Set : The Big,The Bold and The Extras. I have stamped the flowers and leaves using Altenew Crisp Inks. The sentiment of the tag is from the Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs. Finally I finished my tag by tying some colorful Jute cords on the top.

I will be entering my tag in the following W & W challenges:
  1. Sequin Challenge with Kate
  2. Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
  3. Mood Board Challenge with Heather P {Inspired by the Teal, Black and the Florals from the picture}
  4. Three Challenge with Shay (I have used three colors on my tag - Red, Teal and Green)

I hope you like my tag. Do let me know your views on it. Thanks for stopping by!

Home Background Builder | Card

Hi friends!
I have my last card to share which I made for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Celebrations Challenges. I had a really good time playing along their challenges. Here's a look at my card for today :

The colours look quite better in real. Anyhow, for this card I used the Winnie and Walter- Our Town set to create that house background repeatedly. I really love this set a lot, it has such cute elements for creating scenes. I have used various brands of inks here and don't really remember which ones I used, but if you are interested in knowing any particular ink, I will let you know :) The sentiment comes from the Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs, another favourite set of mine! I added a scalloped die-cut frame to complete the look and few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I will be entering my card in the following W & W challenges :
Pattern-Making Challenge with Mayuri
Sequin Challenge with Kate
Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
Mood Board Challenge with Heather P (I have been inspired by the yellow, blue and the white colours from the Mood Board)

I hope you liked my card! I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Love and Hugs | Card

Hello friends,
Today I have another card to share for the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Celebrations and this time its some really bright florals colored using my current favorite coloring medium - The Zigs. What I love about the Zigs are the intensity of the color it has, really vibrant!

Here's my card for today :

To create my card, I first die-cut a card panel using the largest die from the Gina Marie Cross Stitched dies. I then did some ink blending on it using Distress inks- Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron using a Winnie and Walter stencil Scenery: Do You See What I See? Creative Screenings. I then stamped and heat embossed flowers and leaves from the In Bloom: Anna's Flora set and the In Bloom: Elsa's Flora set using Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder and Versamark ink. I watercolored all my flowers and foliage using the Kurutake Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens. I also stamped and heat embossed a banner for my sentiment from the The Big, the Bold and Extras set from Winnie and Walter and die-cut it using the co-ordinating die. Finished my card with few black splatters and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I am entering my card in the following Winnie and Walter challenges :

  1. Sequins Challenge with Kate
  2. Stencil Challenge with Kelly
  3. Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
  4. Three Challenge with Shay

That's it from my end. Hope you like my card. Please do leave me your comments /suggestions. I love to hear from you.

You are my Home | Shaker Card

Hello lovely people,
I am back to share another card that I have created for the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Celebrations. This time it's a cutesy shaker card. My first one ever..Can you believe it !! I seem to have finally joined the Shaker Cards bandwagon so late!
Well, now that I have that off my chest, here's a look at my card and some details on how I created it .

For my card, I first blended some Tumbled Glass Distress ink on my card panel on the top and added a few drop of water to bleach out the color from certain areas. Then I die-cut a circle window from it using my Spellbinders Circle dies. I knew I wanted to create a shaker window so I added some ink blending and stamping on an another piece of cardstock which was to be layered below the die cut window. I colored and fussy cut the bird, branch and the house which are from the Winnie & Walter - Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs, In Bloom: Hollie's Festive Florals and Our Town stamp sets respectively and popped it on a foam base on my card panel. Finally stamped my sentiment from the W & W - Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs set on the front panel along with the hearts. I filled my die-cut circle with sequins and adhered a scalloped frame over it and foam mounted this panel onto the stamped panel and glued it to my card base.

I am entering my card in the following Winnie and Walter challenges :
  1. Cute Critters Challenge with Gayatri
  2. Sequins Challenge with Kate
  3. Ink Blending Challenge with Vanessa
  4. Three Challenge with Shay (I have used three different stamp sets from Winnie and Walter on this one)

Hope you like my card. Please do drop in your comments I love to hear from you.

Have a nice day everyone :)

Celebrate Your Day | Card

Hello crafty friends,
Hope you all have been doing good, I have been really busy these past few days as my son's exams have being going on... Honest to god, it sometimes feels like I am one giving the exams instead of him ..It's that stressful :)
Anyhow...I do have some cards to share which I had created for the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Celebrations. I have been itching to share them for sometime now but was unable to do so due to the exam pressure!
Here'a a look at the card first :

This card was created using the Smooshing technique and  I do have a small pictorial of sorts of my creating process ...Have a lookie :)

I first smooshed some Distress Inks on a clear piece of acetate and spritzed it with water before smooshing it on a piece of watercolor panel. Then I directly stamped my flowers and leaves on it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and Winnie and Walter Stamps : In Bloom: Anna's Flora & In Bloom: Elsa's Flora. I fussy cut my images and arranged them on my card base till I was happy with it. I then added my sentiment which is also from another Winnie and Walter set :The Big, the Bold and Extras and finished off my card with a few ink splatters and clear sequins.

I am entering my card in the following challenges at the Winnie and Walter blog :
  1. Three Challenge with Shay
  2. Ink Smooshing with Heather H
  3. Sequins Challenge with Kate
  4. Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
  5. Stencil Challenge with Kelly
  6. Ink Blending with Vanessa
