Hi everyone!
This is Hussena from Quill and Punch Works, and I am super thrilled to be back again for my second post as a Guest Blogger this month at the Spellbinders blog. In my last post, I shared an ornate, layered floral card and a favor bag, Today, I will be sharing a card I made using the new range of 3D Vignettes Die Collection by Amazing Paper Grace. The dies are extremely gorgeous, and can make any card stand out.I have created a floral, birthday card for today's post. To start with, I adhered a pink polka dots pattern paper on my card base. I then die cut the Grand Dome 3D Etched dies to cut out the intricate dome piece.
Next, I adhered a circle cut out of the same polka dots pattern paper to the centre of the dome. Then, I cut out the ornate tag twice, once from white cardstock, and the other using gold foil cardstock so that I could offset the white die cut piece onto the gold foil one. It is a part of the same Grand Dome Etched Dies set. The sentiment stamp is from the Giving Occasion stamp set.
Flowers are something I can't do without on my projects, and I had to incorporate them on this card too. I created my own flowers by using the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched dies. The flowers were die cut from white cardstock, inked, and then embossed and shaped to give them a dimensional look. The leaves were also made the same way, and are a part of the same die set. The pale pink bow was made using the dies from the Petite Double Bow and Flowers Etched dies.
I also added some pink fillers and golden pollens to accentuate my project.
Here is a closer look at the floral arrangement. I created the main cluster on the left, and a tiny one on the right to balance my card design.
The card is very dimensional as you can tell, and has lots of layers!
To finish my card, I added two corner die cuts from the Tiara Rondelle Etched Dies. The dies look really beautiful, and give a nice, finishing touch to my card.
