Hello Beautiful Card | Guest Post for Sindhu

Hello friends!
Today, I have this card to share with you which is totally hand stamped and watercoloured. This card is also a part of my dear friend, Sindhu's fifth blog anniversary celebrations. Do check it out HERE.

To create this card, I first stamped the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Golden Garden set on Canson Watercolor paper using Versamark Embossing ink. I heat-embossed all the images in gold and then fussy-cut them out. I colored the images using Zig Clean Color pens and then popped some of the flowers on foam dots for dimension. I also added a die-cut frame to balance the floral design. I then stamped, fussy-cut and coloured the butterfly from the Altenew Painted Butterflies set.

The background stripes were hand painted by masking with Washi Tape and diluting some Vintage Photo Distress ink with water and then creating broad paint strokes to give the watercoloured look. Finally added the sentiment which is from the Altenew Sweet Friend stamp set to the card front and few enamel dots using Nuvo Crystal Drops.

My card was inspired by the colours of this month's Inspiration Challenge over at the Altenew blog.

I hope you like my card. I would love to hear what you think about it :)

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Altenew August 2017 Release Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello everyone,
I'm so happy and honoured to be joining the August 2017 Release Blog Hop over at the Altenew blog. I have been really very excited about this new release and have FIVE cards to share with you today. :)
If you have come here from the amazingly talented Debby Hughes's blog, you're on the right track.

CARD ONE

To create this card, I die-cut a piece of white watercolour cardstock and did some ink blending on the background using Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress ink. I kept the concentration of the inks on the right hand side and tried to create a color gradient towards the bottom. I added few black and pink paint spatters. Then, I stamped and die-cut the frame using the Altenew Sweet Friend Stamp and Sweet Friend Die set and clear heat-embossed it. I did some light watercolouring on the frames using markers.

For the florals, I used the Altenew Doodle Blooms Stamp and Die set which was again coloured using markers. I arranged all the flowers and leaves on the die-cut frame and added foam dots to them for added dimension. The sentiment is also from the Sweet Friend set. It has been masked and then heat-embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock. I finally finished my card with some clear sequins.

CARD TWO

This was very simple to put together because the Altenew Fantasy Floral die set makes it a breeze. I die-cut the roses and leaves from the Altenew Fantasy Floral die set using heavyweight white cardstock. The fun part is that Altenew already has coordinating inks for layered stamps so while working with the dies, the same rule applies - light to darkest. So even if you don't have a lot of coloured cardstock like me, you can always create your own custom coloured paper which is so much better :D

I coloured the teal coloured flowers using the inks from the Altenew Sea Shore ink set. I used three different ink shades to colour the flowers. Similarly, I used the Altenew Red Sunset ink set for colouring my red coloured florals. This die set is one of my absolute favourites from this release! The leaves and flourishes were also coloured using the Altenew Tropical Forest ink set.

I used the Altenew Adore You set for my sentiment. It has been heat-embossed using White Embossing powder. I also added few washes of grey watercolour on the background and a couple of sequins to finish off my card!

CARD THREE
This is another simple card to assemble, here I have used a combination of the Altenew Rose Filament dies and small filler flowers from the Bamboo Rose stamp set. I think they really go well together!

I have used the Inlaid Die-Cutting technique here. I first die-cut the roses in black cardstock, and then again in some white cardstock. The white pieces were coloured using markers. The small flowers and the filler leaves were stamped, watercoloured and fussy-cut. I first adhered the roses in black on my card front and then 'filled' in the flowers with the coloured pieces. The sentiment is also from the Bamboo Rose set which I stamped using the Altenew Jet Black Dye ink

CARD FOUR
I personally love this card a lot!I think the 3D embossing in the background and the Fantasy Floral die set really go together very well. I die-cut the roses using white cardstock and coloured them using the Altenew Red Sunset inks. The leaves were also cut from white cardstock and coloured using the Altenew Tropical Forest ink set.

The sentiment has again been masked. The 'You Are' is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes stamp set and the 'beautiful' is from the Sweet Friend stamp set. This is a great way to stretch your stamps and get more use out of them :)

Onto, my last and final card!
This is such a beautiful cover plate die! I first die-cut the Altenew Doodled Lace die in white cardstock and coloured the flowers using Distress Oxides.

I added some gold glitter paper to the back of the flowers. It's an extremely intricate die set and will take atleast 2-3 pases through your die-cut machine, but the end result is gorgeous!

The sentiment is again from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes set. I heat-embossed it in gold on a strip of black cardstock. This is a excellent set, full of lovely sentiments and quotes and is a must have for everyone. I added few gold sequins to balance my card design!

Just Saying Hello | Card

Hi friends,
I am back to share another card today. I had made this a few days back, but just got around editing the pictures. I have made this card using some of my newest crafty goodies.  Here's a look at it :

Close-up of the magnolias which I have watercoloured.

A flat-lay view of the card :

To begin with, I stamped the magnolias, the leaves and buds from the Altenew Magnolias For Her set using Versamark Embossing ink. I stamped it on Canson Montval watercolor cardstock and then heat-set the images in white. After I heat-embossed them, I coloured them using my Zig Clean Color brush pens. This is my favourite watercolour mediums these days and I love using them for all my projects. I fussy-cut the images and arranged them on my card base. The sentiment is from the Altenew Super Script stamp and die set. The 'just saying' has been heat-embossed in gold on a strip of white cardstock which I then distressed on the edges using Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I also watercoloured the base of my card base using Hickory Smoke Distress ink. I then added a strip of gold cardstock which I created by smooshing my Versamark ink pad on a piece of white cardstock and then heat-embossing it in gold. Finally I added few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and gold paint spatters.

I hope you liked my card. I'm entering this in the Altenew Inspiration challenge this month. I really loved the colours and had to play along!

Thanks for dropping by! See you soon with another card on Monday :)

Sending Love & Hugs | Card

Hello friends,
I am back after a short break. I am here to share a card I made based on the Altenew Inspiration Challenge this month.

I had a lot of fun creating this. I first started by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Adore You stamp set using Versamark Embossing ink on some Canson Montval watercolour paper. I heat-embossed all the images using Ranger Super White Embossing powder. Next, I coloured each of the images using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. After I was happy with how they looked, I fussy-cut them out and arranged it on my card base. The sentiment is also from the Adore You set which I stamped and heat-embossed on a strip of grey cardstock. I also stamped stripes on the left-hand side of my card for added interest. For the finishing touches, I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops and black paint spatters.

The colours which I was inspired from for the Altenew challenge.

That's it from my side today. I will be  back to share another card I made recently. Thanks for stopping by!

You should have come here from the amazing Galina's Blog, If not, you can start from the Honey Bee Stamps blog. Here's a look at my cards for the hop :

CARD INSPIRATION :

I have added few clear dew drops, stars and sequins from the Coral Shell Sequin Mix.

To create this card, I started with the new Swimming By set. I stamped the mermaid on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lbs cardstock and coloured it using the Zig Clean Color markers. I fussy-cut it out and placed it on my card base. The sun-rays were lightly ink blended using a DIY stencil I made. The waves were also created using the same way. I used Broken China for the waves & Mustard Seed Distress ink for the rays. I also stamped, fussy-cut and added those tiny elements on the bottom of the card using stamps from Under The Sea set. The sentiment is from the Mermaid Song set. I added few sequins, dew drops and stars from the Coral Shell Sequin mix to complete my card.

CARD 2 : MISS YOU SHAKER CARD

I have used the Ocean Borders stamp set for this card. I started by stamping the large 6'' X 6'' Ocean Waves pattern using Versamark Embossing ink on Neenah 110lbs cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I watercolored the background using Zig Markers.  For the focal of my card, I again used the mermaid from the Swimming By set as well as the smaller images from the Under The Sea set. All of them have been stamped, coloured and fussy-cut. I added sequins from the Birthday Bash Sequin Mix to create the shaker. I then used an inverted scalloped rectangle die frame to complete the shaker. I added another scalloped frame over the watercolored background and popped it on foam tape for that raised look. It was colored lightly using Broken China Distress ink. Matted everything on a A2 Card Base to complete my card.

Hi Fabulous | Card

Hi friends!
I am back again to share my this week's inspiration card for Honey Bee Stamps. Here's a look at it :

To start with, I cut-out several die-cuts of the Honey Bee Honey cuts - Fabulous die. I then used my Gansai Tambi Watercolor pan (Color number. 64) to colour all of them lightly and I arranged them on my card panel. Next, I die-cut the frame on the right side of the card using a Gina Marie Designs die and then coloured it using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide. The main pink floral is from the Honey Bee Stamps Lotus Blossom set. I have colored the flower as well as the leaves & foliage using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. The leaves and foliage are from the Zen Florals set which have been stamped, heat-embossed & then die-cut using the Zen Florals die. The big sentiment 'Hi' is from the Hello Gorgeous set which is again stamped and die-cut using the coordinating die. As usual, I added few black paint splatters and sequins as the finishing touch for my card :)

Here's another look at my card :

I'm entering my card in The Flower Challenge - Embossing (I've clear heat-embossed the leaves and foliage).

I hope you like my card. Do let me know if you did :)

Celebrate | Honey Bee Stamps Card

Hi everyone!
I'm back to share my this week's card for honey Bee Stamps. You may have seen it on my Facebook & Instagram pages already, and if not, here's my card :

To create this card, I first took a A2 card base which I created using Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. Next, I did some stenciling on the background using the Honey Bee Stamps Hexagon Background Layering stencil. I used Prima Marketing Light Paste mixed with some Mustard Seed Distress ink to create a custom paste. For my flowers and foliage, I stamped the images from three different sets- Honey Bee Stamps Hello Gorgeous, Country Blooms and Zen Florals. Don't all of them look fantastic together? I colored them using my Zig Clean Color Real brush pens and then cut them out using their coordinating die sets. For my sentiment, I used the Hooray Honey Cuts set. I added few clear dew drops and black paint spatters to finish off my card.
