Hello, crafty friends!
I'm ecstatic to be joining Spellbinders for the September 2020 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop today. Spellbinders is celebrating all their Club Kits in shop for September 2020.
If you arrived here from the talented, Gemma Campbell's Blog, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Spellbinders Blog. We've got tons of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.
I have made a Shaped Card for the hop today using the Amazing Paper Grace – September Die of the Month. In case you missed, it I shared a Card on my blog few days ago using this month's "Lattice Quadrante" Set, which you can check out HERE.
The dies for Spellbinders Monthly Clubs are exclusive to Spellbinders and you won't find them anywhere else. If you want to find out more about the Club – prices, how you sign up and what’s included, please look ——–> HERE. These dies are only available through the Club and are limited to the month of August, so hurry before they are sold out.
The Lattice Quadrante Set consists of four large motifs and coordinating rim dies to cut them all perfectly. I used the outline die from the set to create my Shaped Card. The design is so elegant and timeless and I loved creating with it!
To start, I first took a sheet of Buttercream Cardstock and die cut the outer rim die from the Lattice Quadrante Set using my Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I used the partial die-cutting technique here to create a hinged card base. If you don't know how to create one, you can check out Becca Feeken's tutorial HERE where she shows you how to create one.
I die cut the coordinating motif dies from Buttercream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and then adhered them over the card base. I off-set the pieces a bit in order for the gold to peek through and create a shadow effect. I die cut all four motif dies, so that it would cover my entire card panel.
Next, I die cut the frame inlay design from the Splendid Trilliant Etched Dies from Buttercream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock. I adhered one on top of the other to create visual interest.
I used the Shapeabilities Cinch and Go Flowers Etched Dies to create my flowers, while for the leaves, I used the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched Dies. I die cut the flowers from Whip Cream Cardstock and coloured the petals using Rustic Rose and Bubble Gum True Colour Fusion Ink Pads. The leaves were coloured using Sweet Pear and Lemongrass Ink Pads. I embossed the petals and leaves using Groove Golf Tools. To finish, I added wire pollens to the flower centres for a more natural look as well as some additional foliage.
This card was a joy to create! I hope you like it!
