Card Kit of the Month Membership

I have FIVE Card ideas to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!

Card #1
My card uses the Vintage Mementos Paper Pad, Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set, Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

I have never really worked with Vintage colours or prints for my projects, so this Card Kit was pretty challenging yet exciting to work with at the same time. For my card, I first selected a patterned paper design from the Vintage Mementos Paper Pad which would work with the design I had in mind. I trimmed it and added it to my card panel. I also added a piece of Navy Blue Cardstock to the bottom of my card for contrast.

The dies in this month's kits are really beautiful and I decided to combine some of them for my card design. I die cut the border die from the Card Kit from Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it down to my panel to cover the seams of the patterned paper and cardstock.

Next, I die cut a circle from the Elegant Twist Circles Etched Die Set from Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it down to my panel. I then added the coordinating inlay piece which was die cut from Buttercream Cardstock. I also tucked in two die cuts at the top and bottom of the circle to give it a regal look, which was again die cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace July Die of the Month Set. I then popped a die-cut piece from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set and heat embossed my sentiment in gold using a sentiment stamp from the Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set. That's it and my card was ready!

Card #2
My card uses the Vintage Mementos Paper PadVintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

For my card, I again started by selecting a patterned paper print from the Vintage Mementos Paper Pad and adhered it down to my panel. I also trimmed a piece of Navy Blue Cardstock and adhered it to my panel, which is included as a part of the Card Kit.

Next, I die cut a lace using the border die from the Card Kit and adhered it to my panel. Then, I die cut a circle using the Elegant Twist Circles Etched Die Set from Vellum and added a die-cut piece from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set over it. I also adhered some bird die-cut pieces and a butterfly to create my main focal. Finally, I added a sentiment die-cut tile to my card panel. If you notice, I have also adhered gold circle pieces all over the patterned paper for added interest. I think it makes for an interesting detail, what do you think?

Card #3
My card uses the Vintage Mementos Paper PadVintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

To create this card, I first pulled out one of the patterned papers from the Vintage Mementos Paper Pad which would work well for my card background. Then, I die cut a rectangle frame from the Elegant Twist Rectangles Etched Dies from Whip Cream Cardstock. I adhered this down to my panel using glue.

Next, I die cut the gorgeous frame die included in this month's Card Kit from Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it to my panel using foam dots. I then picked out a couple of floral die-cuts from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set to create my card design. To complete my card, I added a sentiment banner and a butterfly which were again die-cut pieces from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set. I quite like how this came together!

Card #4
My card uses the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set, Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

This card is my personal favourite from the lot as the sentiment I have used here is one of my forever favourites. To create this card, I first die cut a rectangle frame using the Elegant Twist Rectangles Etched Dies from Whip Cream Cardstock. Then, I took a piece of Watercolor Paper and lightly watercolored the background using Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I wanted to give it a loose, ethereal look which is why I went in with a very light watercolour wash.

Then, I die cut a frame from using the die from the Card Kit and adhered it to my panel using foam dots. I also tucked in the square sentiment piece, which is from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set. Next, I used a stamp from the Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set to stamp and heat emboss the feathers on Vellum using Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. I like the sparkly, glitter finish of this powder and it worked perfectly with my card design. I then used the Journey Gold Twine to create a bow and adhered it down to my panel. I also added some light blue flowers and a bird chipboard piece to further accentuate my card.

As my final step, I added a butterfly and music note die-cut, both of which are from the Vintage Mementos Die Cut Shapes Set.

Card #5
My card uses the Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set.

My idea with this Card was to create a CAS design to showcase the beautiful images from the Vintage Mementos Clear Stamp Set. I started with a piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and die cut a circle in the centre using the Elegant Twist Circles Etched Die Set. Next, I took another piece of White Cardstock and coloured it using Haystack Ink Pad. I then adhered this down to my card base and added the die cut panel over it.

I ink blended this piece using Pool Play True Color Fusion Ink Pad and stamped some birds from the Vintage Mementos Stamp Set using Black Licorice Ink Pad.

Next, I stamped the image of the birds sitting on a branch using Black Licorice Ink and coloured it using Zig Markers. Then, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to my card panel. All that was left to do was to add a sentiment, and I picked one from the Vintage Mementos Set and stamped it directly on my panel.

I have FIVE Card ideas to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!

Card #1
My card uses the Life is a Party Paper PadLife is a Party Die Cut Shapes SetLife is a Party Clear Stamp Set, Life is a Party Foam Alphabet Stickers, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

To create this card, I pulled out one of the patterned papers included in the Life is a Party Paper Pad and trimmed it to fit my card panel. Then, I die cut the flowers and leaves using the dies included in the Card Kit from Color Splash Watercolor Sheets. This month's die set consists of 15 dies and has several layered flowers, leaves, and foliage. I love layering dies and this was such a pleasant surprise - I thoroughly enjoyed creating with it.

I coloured the die cut pieces using the Jane Davenport: Mermaid Markers which are again a favourite of mine. I adhered them on my panel using the Journey Craft Glue. To accentuate my card, I added a strip of patterned paper and Mirror Gold Cardstock, both of which came from the Card Kit. Finally to complete my card, I used the Foam Alphabet Stickers to create my sentiment.

 Card #2
My card uses the Life is a Party Paper PadLife is a Party Die Cut Shapes SetLife is a Party Clear Stamp Set, Life is a Party Chipboard Embellishments, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

This card is my personal favourite of the lot. To make this one, I used one of the foil patterned papers from the Life is a Party Paper Pad for my card background. Next, I die cut a number of flowers, leave and foliage using the Card Kit Dies from Color Splash Watercolor Sheets and colored them using the Jane Davenport: Mermaid Markers. These watercolor brush markers are so easy to use and really help you to colour your die cuts in a quick and fuss-free manner.

To embellish my card front, I used a die cut frame from the and then adhered my florals and foliage around it. I used a Chipboard Sticker for my sentiment banner and stamped the other part of my sentiment using a stamp included in the Life is a Party Clear Stamp Set on White Cardstock, which I trimmed and popped on foam dots for dimension. The dies in this month's Card Kit are incredibly gorgeous and so versatile! I loved working with them for my cards.

 Card #3
My card uses the Life is a Party Paper PadLife is a Party Die Cut Shapes SetLife is a Party Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

To create this one, I first selected a patterned paper which would work well with the card design I had in mind. I decided to go with this bright and cheery background paper from the Life is a Party Paper Pad for my card background. Next, I die cut a rectangular frame using my Stitched Rectangle Nesting Dies. I love stretching my supplies and using them in various many ways other than the intended use, and to create this frame, all I did was die cut two successive Nesting Rectangle dies together and run it through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

At this point, I also went ahead and stamped my sentiment in the centre of the frame. I really like the mix of fonts in the Life is a Party Clear Stamp Set and used a couple of stamps from this set for my sentiment. Next, to embellish my card, I used two of these floral die cuts from the Life is a Party Die Cut Shapes Set and adhered them to my frame using foam dots. I also added some foliage and leaves die cut using the dies from the Card Kit, which were watercoloured using the Jane Davenport: Mermaid Markers. And that's it. My card was complete!

 Card #4
My card uses the Life is a Party Paper Pad, and the Life is a Party Die Cut Shapes Set.

I have a crafty confession to share. I LOVE stamps, dies, and embellishments of any kind which consist of images of houses. I am particularly drawn towards them and always am in the look out for adding more of such in my stash.
I had a lot of fun making this card and do like how it turned out.

For this card, I again started off by selecting a patterned paper from the Life is a Party Paper Pad and die cutting a frame from it using my Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I adhered that to my card panel and also added a strip of coordinating patterned paper for added interest.

Then I pulled out some die cut shapes from the Life is a Party Die Cut Shapes Set which would complement the patterned paper and I adhered those to my panel using foam tape. The sentiment banners are also die cut pieces, and I must say here, that I really love the sheer variety of shapes offered in each month's Die Cut Shapes Set. They truly are great value for money!

 Card #5
My card uses the Life is a Party Paper Pad, the Life is a Party Die Cut Shapes Set, and the Life is a Party Chipboard Embellishments.

For last card, I went with this really vibrant and fun multi colour striped paper for my card background. Then, I die cut a circle from White Cardstock using the Circle Around Die Set and adhered it to my panel using foam tape.

Then, like usual, I picked out a few die cuts from the Life is a Party Die Cut Shapes Set, which would work for my card design and arranged them on my panel. The llama die cuts were so adorable and I really wanted to incorporate them on one of my cards, so here it is. As a finishing touch, I added some hearts which came from the Life is a Party Chipboard Embellishments Set.

Spellbinders November Card Kit of the Month | Christmas Wishes

Hello there, crafty friends!
I have a couple of cards to share today featuring the November Card Kit by Spellbinders - Christmas Wishes. If you haven't heard about the Monthly Card Kits by Spellbinders or don't know how to subscribe to one, you can go over to the Spellbinders website and/or blog and read more about them HERE

This "Christmas Wishes" Kit, like all their other Card Kits, gives you everything you need to create 10 unique cards and even more. You now also get better goodies, including a 40 sheet paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!
November 2019 Card Kit of the Month is Here – Christmas Wishes

I have FIVE Cards to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!

My first card features the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad, Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes SetChristmas Wishes Chipboard Sticker Pack, along with the stamp set included in the kit.

For my card, I started by selecting a patterned paper design from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad and die cut a circle in the centre of this paper using the Nestabilities Standard Circles LG die set. I took another piece of White Cardstock and created a mini scene using different stamps included in the Christmas Wishes Stamp set included from the kit. I incorporated some ink blending and masking in this scene to make it look a bit more realistic.

I used a layer of White Fun Foam between the patterned paper and the stamped scene to make the top panel pop a bit. I also adhered a die cut from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set and a sentiment banner from the Christmas Wishes Chipboard Sticker Pack. I also added a couple of stars and photo corners from the same chipboard set to complete my card.

My next card features the Christmas Wishes Paper PadChristmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set, and the dies included in the kit.

To create my card, I started by die cutting the ornament die included in the kit from Gold Mirror Cardstock and some foiled patterned paper. I also die cut the strings and the little accessories for the ornament from Gold Mirror Cardstock.

Once that was done, I did the assembly for it, and picked out two ornament die cuts from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set. I adhered these three over a patterned paper from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad. I also added a sentiment banner from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set and some gemstones for the finishing touch.

My next card is made entirely using the flower and leaf dies from the kit.

I took a piece of A2 Navy Blue Cardstock and die cut a couple of poinsettia flowers and leaves all over this panel to create my own background piece. Then, I die cut several of these poinsettias from Red Cardstock and leaves from Green Cardstock and used the inlay technique to adhere them over the previously die cut panel. I also added the centres of the flowers which were die cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock.

My panel was almost done and I decided to die cut a circle from Vellum using the Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Dies. I topped this up with another circle die cut from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set.

My fourth card features the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad, and the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set along with the dies from the kit.
For my card, I first picked out a patterned paper from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad which would go well with the design of my card. Once I did that, I die cut some poinsettias and leaves using Red and Green Cardstock respectively, and adhered them over a watercolored wreath die cut from the  Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set. I also added some punched sprig leaves and flower centres to the poinsettias.

I stamped two bows using two different ink colours and fussy cut them to place them over the wreath.  I also added a white gemstone to the centre of the bow and die cut pieces in the centre of the wreath for my card sentiment.

This is my favourite from the lot because I love the way it turned out. To start with, I picked out two different patterned papers from the Christmas Wishes Paper Pad. I adhered one directly on to my card panel, while I die cut from the other to create hills for my scene. Once they were die cut, I adhered these panels in a way that one would overlap over the other to create the illusion of a hill.

I used lots of die cuts from the Christmas Wishes Die Cut Shapes Set to create the entire scene for my card. I adhered few directly, while some were popped up using foam tape. The sentiment banner is also from the same set.
