This "Weekend Fun" Kit, like all their other Card Kits, gives you everything you need to create 10 unique cards and even more. You now also get better goodies, including a 40 sheet paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!
I have FIVE Card ideas to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!
Card #1
I really liked the way this one turned out. It's been a while since I made any cards featuring birds.
I really love the combination of peach and gold together and think it looks so pretty. To make my card, I took a piece of White Cardstock measuring 5.5" X 4.25". Then, I picked out some die cuts from the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set and adhered them to my panel. I used foam dots while adhering the birds and foliage to give it a raised look.
I also die cut some little flowers from Rustic Rose and Peaches & Cream Cardstock sheets using the dies included in the Card Kit. I love their dainty look. I also die cut a leaf from Gold Mirror Cardstock and tucked it beneath my floral arrangement.
The sentiment is a die cut included in the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set. To complete my card, I die cut a rectangular frame from a patterned paper sheet from the Weekend Fun Paper Pad. I adhered this frame onto my panel and then added it to an A2 card base.
Card #2
My first card features the Weekend Fun Clear Stamp set, Weekend Fun Die Set, and Weekend Fun Paper Pad.
To create my card, I first die cut a card panel from White Cardstock. Next, I used the Weekend Fun Clear Stamp set to stamp my images on my card panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I did some basic watercolouring to colour the honeycomb and the flowers. I also stamped some honey bees and die cut them using the coordinating die included in the Card Kit.
I stamped the trail of the bees on my card panel using a stamp included in the Weekend Fun Clear Stamp set. Then, I adhered the honey bees on my panel using foam dots for dimension.
To finish my card, I picked out a patterned paper from the Weekend Fun Paper Pad and adhered it to my card base. I then mounted my card panel to the A2 card base and my card was done.
My next card features the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set, Weekend Fun Die Set, and Weekend Fun Paper Pad.
This card features the dies that are there as a part of the Weekend Fun Card Kit. I combined a couple of them together on this card. To start with, I die cut a circle from Outrageous Pink Cardstock using the Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Etched Dies. Next, I die cut a wreath from Gold Mirror Cardstock and the cameo from Baby Pink Cardstock. I also die cut a tiny bow from Rustic Rose Cardstock and adhered it to the die cut piece. I used foam dots while adhering the die cut of the lady for added dimension.
The sentiment banner is a die cut piece from the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set. The tiny flowers and leaves are again die cut using the dies from the Card Kit. I die cut them from Rustic Rose and Peaches & Cream Cardstock and added them around the banner to add interest to my design.
To finish my card, I pulled out a patterned paper from the Weekend Fun Paper Pad and adhered it to my card base. This card was done!
Card #4
My next card features the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set, Weekend Fun Die Set, and Weekend Fun Paper Pad.
To create my card, I started by picking out a patterned paper from the Weekend Fun Paper Pad. Next, I used the Banner Parade Die Set to die cut a banner from Rustic Rose Cardstock. I then die cut a circle using the Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Etched Dies from White Cardstock and adhered it to the banner.
I decided to use some die cut pieces this time to create my card focal and used the die cuts included in the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set. I used a couple of them to create the floral cluster. I stamped one part of the sentiment on the mason jar using a stamp included in the Weekend Fun Stamp set. I stamped the word 'day' directly on the banner, while the words 'fabulous' and 'amazing' are die cut pieces.
I also die cut some hexagons from Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered to my card panel for added interest. I love the variety of dies included in this month's set. They are all so wonderful and can be used time and again for a lot many projects!
Card #5
My last card features the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set, Weekend Fun 3D Stickers, and Weekend Fun Paper Pad.
To create my card, I first pulled out two coordinating patterned paper sheets from the Weekend Fun Paper Pad. I trimmed the two to fit my card panel. I also trimmed a 1/4" strip of Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered to my card panel.
Next, I die cut a circle from the Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Etched Dies from Baby Pink Cardstock. Then, it was time to embellish my card - I decided to use one of the gorgeous 3D stickers included in the Card Kit for my focal.
For my sentiment, I went with die cut shapes. The mini purple banner as well as heart are included in the Weekend Fun Die Cut Shapes Set. And that is all!
