Pinkfresh Studio August 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!
It's release day at Pinkfresh Studio and we have an amazing blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's August 2020 Stamp and Die Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way. This blog hop is full of amazing projects showcased by all the guest designers and the design team.

We've got TONS of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

For today's hop, I have created two cards featuring the Sweet Blooms Stamp and Stencil Set. I also have some tags to share, which I created using an assortment of products from the August release, so let's just get right into it all!

The Sweet Blooms Stamp is a gorgeous background set that comes with a set of three coordinating stencils which work perfectly with the stamp. I love how the stamp & stencil combination offers so many possibilities. You may choose to simply ink the background stamp and use it as is, colour it, or use it with the coordinating stencil set.
My first card features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and Stencil Set along with the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp. I love combining my supplies whenever I am working on any project as it offers so many new possibilities. I started off by stamping the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my card panel using Detail Black ink. This is a hybrid ink, which means, you can use this ink with watercolor, water-based markers, and alcohol-based markers. I coloured the panel using Liquid Watercolours (Candy Apple, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry. Once dry, I added some very simple pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

Then, I took another panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 LBS Cardstock and stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on it using Peach Fuzz ink. Once that was done, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

I trimmed both the panels in half and popped them over to my card base using craft foam. This helped give it dimension and keep the panels in focus. I also adhered two strips of paper to make the seams of the panels look more flawless.

The die cut sentiment is from Lea's Ornate Uppercase Die Set and Lea's Ornate Lowercase Die Set. I die cut them from white cardstock and coloured the tips of the letters using Coral Reef ink. The rest of the sentiment is from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set. It was stamped using Detail Black ink on a strip of white cardstock which was then foam mounted for dimension. To complete my card, I added some clear sequins.

My second card for today also features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and the coordinating Stencil Set

For my card, I first heat embossed the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp using Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder on Canson Montval Watercolor Paper. Once that was done, I coloured the entire background using Liquid Watercolours (Aquamarine, Clementine, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry.

Once dry, I added some pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I also trimmed a piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it behind my card panel to add some interest to my design.

I wanted the die-cut sentiment to be the focal for my card, so I die cut the letters 'Hugs' from Heather's Lowercase Die Set from Black Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered them on to a strip of Vellum Cardstock. I tore the sides of the Vellum strip by hand to add extra visual interest to my design. The rest of my sentiment was heat embossed in gold on a strip of black cardstock. I used one of the sentiments from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set for it.

I was almost done with my card at this point, but I felt something was a tad bit missing, so I decided to incorporate another stamped card panel on my card. I stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on to a piece of white cardstock using Ocean Breeze ink, which I then trimmed and adhered directly to my card base. I foam mounted my main card layer over this panel and then added some gold sequins to complete my card.

I also wanted to share some Gift Tags that I created using a wide range of products from this month's release. If you have followed my work for a while, you'd know, how much I LOVE creating Gift Tags, and I couldn't resist creating a couple using the Essential Tag Die Set

I die cut the base for the tags using one of the tag dies from the Essential Tag Die Set. I always like to create 'double-layered' tags so that the recipient has enough space to write their messages inside.

I wanted to keep the floral image the focus for my first tag, so I stamped the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my tag using Detail Black ink. I then partially coloured the images using alcohol markers. The sentiment is again from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using two different shades of inks: Apricot and Passion Fruit. I tried to achieve a two-tone effect while stamping it, and like how this turned out!

I used one of the stamps from the Colorblock Gradiating Stripes Cling Stamp Set to stamp the stripes on my next two tags. I used my MISTI Stamping Tool for doing this since I did not want to end up messing the design.  The ink colors that I used are: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Passion Fruit, Meadow, and Ocean Breeze. Once I was done, I masked a part of the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and stamped it to my tag using Detail Black ink.

Then, I used the coordinating Stencil Set to colour the flowers and leaves using Passion Fruit and Fresh Pear inks. The sentiment is from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Detail Black ink.

I kept the next tag super simple, and only stamped the stripes and the sentiment and this was done!

The ink colors that I used are: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Passion Fruit, and  Meadow. The sentiment is from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Detail Black ink.

Spellbinders Stylish Script Glimmer Hot Foil Plates | Cards

Hello, crafty friends!
Hope you are doing well and are safe and sound!
I have a Card Set to share today using the Spellbinders Stylish Script Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. I created my cards a while ago, but am finally getting around to sharing them.

The phrases in the Collection are handwritten in a stylish font that is fresh and modern with a playful twist. The Glimmer Hot Foil Plates are designed to be used with the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System (or other compatible hot foil system).
For You Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set from the Stylish Script Collection
Thank You & Happy Birthday Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set from the Stylish Script Collection
I created this card using the classic White & Gold combination and I like how it turned out. This card is slightly bigger than my usual cards as the sentiment square is about 2.5" X 2.5" by itself.

This card was rather quick to create as the Glimmer Plate did all the work for me. To create my card, I trimmed a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock to 5.5" X 5" to create my card panel. I wanted to keep the For You Glimmer Hot Foil Plate the focal of my card, hence I die cut a square to foil my sentiment on it. I used the Classic Squares - Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies for it. Then, I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System to foil the sentiment on the die cut using the Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold. I love the clean and crisp look of it!

I adhered the sentiment piece to my previously cut panel using foam adhesive. To embellish my card, I die cut an array of flowers, leaves, and foliage using the dies from the June 2020 Card Kit from Spellbinders - Life is a Party. GOOD NEWS! This kit is now available for retail purchase, so you can buy it till stock lasts. I die cut the flowers and leaves from Whip Cream Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered them to my panel using a mix of foam squares and Journey Craft Glue.

To complete my card, I trimmed a piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock to create a mat for my card panel. Then, I adhered this down to my card base.

I had some leftover die cut pieces from my first card, so I decided to create a Mini Notecard to go along with my card. To start off, I die cut the card base using the Candlewick Circles Etched Dies. I love the elegant, embroidered look of the dies in this collection. They are my all time favourite!

For this card, I decided to use the 'Thank You' Glimmer Plate from the Thank You & Happy Birthday Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set as it fit on my card panel perfectly! I used the Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold to foil my sentiment on a circle die cut. The circle was die cut from Whip Cream Cardstock using my good ol' Nestabilities Standard Circles Etched Dies. I love how all these classic dies always come in handy even today.

I arranged all the die cut pieces on my panel and adhered them down using foam dots and Journey Craft Glue. I love it when cards come together so quickly! :D

That's it from me for today! I hope you liked my cards! I would love to hear what you think of them. :)

Spellbinders August 2020 Card Kit of the Month is Here – Around The World #SpellbindersClubKits #Spellbinders #NeverStopMaking #Cardmaking

I have FIVE Card ideas to share with you today using this kit, so let's get started!

Card #1
My card uses the Around the World Paper PadAround the World Die Cut Shapes Set, Around The World Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

I LOVE the dies in the Card Kit this month as they're simply fabulous and so apt for the times we are living in. It kind of made me feel like I was traveling while crafting which is something we all would like to do during these extended periods of lockdown. I hope we can all get back to traveling like before. :) When I first saw the die set, I instantly knew that I wanted to create a Spinner Card using the main globe die from the set. For my card, I started by die cutting the different pieces of the globe from Navy Blue Cardstock and Brush Gold Cardstock. I assembled it together, adhering the gold inlay pieces on both sides of the circle because this was going to be a Spinner Card, and both sides would show. I also die cut a tiny heart and an aeroplane from Red Cardstock and adhered them to the front of the die cut piece in order to add some interest to my design.

Then, I took a folded White Notecard from the Card Kit and die cut a circle in the centre of the panel using the  Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies. Next, I adhered the globe circle die-cut on some Journey Twine Licorice Twist and kept it aside to dry for some time. In the meantime, I took a piece of foiled pattern paper from the Around the World Paper Pad and die cut a circle from it using the same Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies. I did this so that I could sandwich the twine in between the card base and the foiled pattern paper to provide for the spinner effect. Once the die cut had stuck firmly to the twine, I adhered the twine to my card base, and then the patterned paper over it to create the front of the card.

To make the globe look more complete, I die cut some of the coordinating accent pieces from Brush Gold Cardstock and adhered them to the patterned paper. I love the glitz the gold cardstock offers!

The sentiment is from the Around The World Clear Stamp Set. I heat-embossed it in gold on a die cut banner of Navy Blue Cardstock. I added a small red heart as well for more interest. To finish off my card, I added a die cut piece from the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set underneath my sentiment banner. I love how this one turned out. I think it's pretty cool - What do you think?!

Card #2
My second card uses the Around The World Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

I love CAS cards, but I often find them very difficult to make. This is my take on one, albeit with loads of dimension! :D To create this card, I first took a piece of White Cardstock from the Card Kit and die cut a circle from the centre of the paper using a circle die from the Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies.
Next, I took another piece of White Cardstock and repeated the earlier process, but I used a slightly smaller circle die this time. I adhered the smaller circle panel to my card base using Journey Craft Glue, while for the panel with the larger circle die cut, I foam mounted the panel for dimension and depth.

For the focal of my card, I decided to create a mini watercoloured scene. I die cut a circle from Brustro Cold Pressed Watercolour Paper and adhered it down to the panel using foam dots. Next, I die cut the sailboat, trees, and waves using the dies from the Card Kit and coloured them using Zig Brush Markers. I assembled them on the circle die-cut, and watercolored the sky and some birds for added interest. I popped one of the waves on foam tape for more depth. I also die cut the axis of the globe from Brush Gold Cardstock and adhered it to my panel.

I stamped my sentiment and the lil' elements directly on my card panel using a variety of different ink colours. I used the Around The World Clear Stamp Set for it.

Card #3
My next card uses the Around the World Paper PadAround the World Die Cut Shapes Set, Around The World Clear Stamp Set, and the exclusive dies in this month's Card Kit.

For this card, I started by selecting a patterned paper print from the Around the World Paper Pad, which I then adhered to my White Notecard. Next, I cut out some coordinating mat layers from Brush Gold Cardstock and White Cardstock and adhered them over my card base.

For my card focal, I die cut the various components of the globe from Brustro Cold Pressed Watercolour Paper and Brush Gold Cardstock. I watercolored the main piece using Zig Brush Markers and then adhered it to the panel using foam tape. I also added a red die-cut heart, a sentiment tab piece from the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set, and an aeroplane die cut and adhered them over the watercolored circle die cut using foam dots. Then, I adhered the stand for the globe which was die cut from Brush Gold Cardstock on my main panel.

I picked out a die cut piece from the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set and popped it on my panel using foam dots. I finally stamped my sentiment on my card panel, which is from the Around The World Clear Stamp Set.

Card #4
My card uses the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set, and Around The World Clear Stamp Set.

This card was so simple to put together and it hardly took me time to create it as well! To start with, I took a piece of Bristol White Paper and added some light watercolour washes to it using Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn. Once I was happy with the way it looked, I die cut the panel using a Stitched Rectangles Die.

To embellish my card, I used some wildflower die cut pieces from the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set which were adhered to the panel using foam dots. I also stamped some birds using Black Licorice Ink and added paint splatters in blue to add cohesiveness to the design.

The sentiment is from the Around The World Clear Stamp Set and was stamped on a strip of White Cardstock using Black Licorice Ink. I die cut another strip from Brush Gold Cardstock and added it to the edge of the white strip for more interest. I foam mounted the panel to my card base and it was done!

Card #5
My last card uses the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set, and Around The World Clear Stamp Set.

I wanted to keep this one simple and effective and I quite like how it worked out. To begin, I took a piece of White Cardstock and used the Fun Stampers Journey Love Stripes Embossing Folder to emboss my panel. This is one of my favorite folders and I love using it to add some texture to my card backgrounds. When I embossed my piece this time, it dawned on me, that with a little tweaking I could use it to create a gingham background. In order to do so, I simply turned the paper while it was still in the folder, and again embossed it to create this gingham pattern. Even though the embossing is really subtle, I like how it looks.

Next, I die cut a circle from this embossed panel to create an aperture. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies for it. I added a piece of Mint Cardstock behind the panel to accentuate the look. Then, I sorted through the die cuts from the pack and decided to use these two identical die cut pieces from the Around the World Die Cut Shapes Set and adhered them to my panel.

The sentiment is from the Around The World Clear Stamp Set and was stamped directly on the panel using Black Licorice Ink. I mounted this panel to a piece of Brush Gold Cardstock, which was then finally adhered to my card base. For the finishing touch, I added some clear sequins.
