Hi Friends,
Today sharing with you all an upcycled bag and a tag !!...Love the way it rhymes :P..And as my title post suggests I made this bag from a recycled cereal box....So a look at the Projects but have to warn you all its gonna be a picture -heavy post ..So please bear with me :)
And now the back -side of the bag :-
And a look at the tag :-
When I decided to recycle the cereal box I had no intention to make anything else with it...But when I completed the bag I felt like adding a vintage /Shabby -chic kind of tag to it...So started experimenting with the Masking tape and I ended up stamping on it to create a washi -tape kind of look and this is what I have used in the tag for the pleated bottom ..And remember that Paper bag recycling ??..Well , I had bought a bag from a store some time back and they gave me the bag in this beautiful kraft -coloured paper bag which I have been using in many of my Cards and now also used it in my bag and tag ..!!
And here's the paper bag which I recycled :-
And the Cereal box from which the bag was made :-
For my bag , which I have recycled from this Kellogs box what I did first was I opened the box completely ,then covered it on all the sides with white cardstock and then glued it back and I added Masking tape on all the corners of the bag where the seams were showing..this helped me to cover all that little bit of exposed portion and give the bag a neat finish...Then ,added the Pp and layered it with a part of the recycled kraft bag ...I have been inspired by Yvonne to fussy cut the PP and use it as a focal element like She does in most of her Lo's and cards..And in my case I have done that with the bag where I have fussy -cut a DCWV Pp to create the "Love" background...!!
