Some happy news + Cards to share!

Hi everyone,
I know it's been a very long time since I posted anything on my blog. I was on a break + I find it much easier to share new projects on my Facebook and Instagram pages these days.
Anyways, I wanted to start this post by sharing some very happy news! I have been selected to be a part of the wonderful Honey Bee Stamps Social Media Design team. Wohoo, I'm so excited :) I'm here to share my cards I created for my first post.

This is the first card I created with grey watercolored stripes.

Second card with yellow stripes.

I have kept the card design same for both of them, I just changed the colour of the background stripes. To start with, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Honey Bee Stamps Country Blooms stamp and then used the coordinating die set for cutting the flowers and foliage. I coloured them using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. Next, I die-cut a circle using the Stitched Circles die by Gina Marie Designs. The white frames on the card base have been cut using the Double Stitched A2 Rectangle Frame die which is also by Honey Bee Stamps. I ink blended the circles using Tumbled Glass Distress ink and stamped the sentiment from the HBS Happy Everything set. Finally I adhered few sequins from the Spring Mix and added black paint splatters to finish off my cards. What do you think? Which is your favourite. I would love to hear :)

That's it from my side today! I hope you like my cards. If you do , don't forget to leave me a comment!

Have a nice day everyone.

Home Background Builder | Card

Hi friends!
I have my last card to share which I made for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Celebrations Challenges. I had a really good time playing along their challenges. Here's a look at my card for today :

The colours look quite better in real. Anyhow, for this card I used the Winnie and Walter- Our Town set to create that house background repeatedly. I really love this set a lot, it has such cute elements for creating scenes. I have used various brands of inks here and don't really remember which ones I used, but if you are interested in knowing any particular ink, I will let you know :) The sentiment comes from the Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs, another favourite set of mine! I added a scalloped die-cut frame to complete the look and few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I will be entering my card in the following W & W challenges :
Pattern-Making Challenge with Mayuri
Sequin Challenge with Kate
Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
Mood Board Challenge with Heather P (I have been inspired by the yellow, blue and the white colours from the Mood Board)

I hope you liked my card! I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks for stopping by!

Watercoloring with Altenew

Hello, friends!
I am blogging after quite a bit & I am really sorry if I have not dropped by your blogs & left you some love. I will definitely take out time & visit your blogs soon :)
Today I have a card to share which I have created for the Altenew challenge. It's been quite a while since I played along with their challenges.
I have gone totally out of my comfort zone & created a single layer card using watercoloring & masking, which if you know my style, is totally something new to me. Here's my card :

To make my card, I used the flowers from the Beautiful Day set & the leaves are from the Peony Bouquet set. The sentiment is also from the Beautiful Day set. I have tried to do some loose watercoloring using Distress inks. I first stamped by flowers using Altenew inks - Warm Sunshine & Rouge. I masked the flowers & stamped the leaves using the Forest Glades ink. Then, I stamped the second layer of the flower using - Worn Lipstick & Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks, then using a waterbrush I just spread around the colours loosely. Did the same with the leaves. Finally, I colored the background using Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon & Chipped Sapphire Distress inks. For the finishing touches, I added a few clear sequins from The Ton Rose Gold Rush Couture Mix and black paint spatters.

I was totally inspired by the colours of the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I loved working with these colours on my card!

Also linking my card to the Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes challenge.

I hope you like my card. I would love to hear your feedback on it.
Thank you so much for dropping by!

Fuschias | Card

 Hi, bloggy friends!
I am sharing a card today that I made some days back for my inspiration post at Mudra Craft Stamps. Here's a look at my card :

It's a fairly simple card to make. I have used the Mudra Hummingbird stamp set designed by Suchi of Suchi's Cardstock. You should definitely visit her blog to see her amazing CAS cards :)

I stamped and clear heat-embossed the fuschias on a watercolor card panel and did some simple watercolouring using Distress inks. I then stamped the sentiment which is also from the same set and added few die-cut butterflies from an Impression Obsession die. Added few gold splatters and did some light blue watercolouring on the background.
I added a patterned paper from the Papericious Ephemera collection and mounted my panel to an A2 white card base and it was done :)

Happy Day!

Hello friends,
I am on a roll these past few days and  I have yet another card to share with you all, but in my defence I am trying to use up all my hoarded stamps and trying to put them to good use. My today's card is especially created for the Ellen Hutson Mix It up challenge and I have gone all bold and dramatic this time around.

Here's a look at what I have created :

A side view :

To create my card, I first die cut a water color panel and then stencilled the background using MFT Petal Circle stencil and distress inks Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber inks, then on a separate cardstock, I stamped and watercolored my flowers and leaves using Ellen Hutson Bold blooms set. I fussy cut the images and created my flower cluster and glued everything down. Then I used my Stampoholic tool to stamp the sentiment and the dots around my flower cluster and as a final touch added some white gem stones to my flower centre and my card was finished.
I was pretty happy with the end result as its quite a bit different from my usual style :)

I am also entering this card in the following challenges :

Paru's Cardmaking challenge : New
Word Art Wednesday # 217 : Anything Goes

Hope you all like my card. Please do let me know your views regarding it. I love hearing from you :)
Have a nice day everyone!

Pattern Play -You are awesome

Hi friends,
In the series of my WCMD frenzy, here is another card I created based on Pattern play with Shay at the W & W blog. They are running a couple of challenges till Saturday for the WCMD. How fun is that ?
Here's a look at what I have created :
To make this card, I just played around with my Bo Bunny stamp set and my Hero Arts shadow inks. The stamp set  has a lot of geometric shapes and I was leaning more towards creating hexagons and arrows for my background but after trying out various combo's, I finally settled with the black stripes and triangles ..Actually, it was the feather die cut which clinched the deal for me :) It just sat so beautifully against all that stamped triangles ...But I have to confess, it was really hard for me to use this diecut. I have been hoarding it for like ages now  and now finally got a chance to use it ..Sigh !! A few sequins and pearls finished the card. On the bottom of the feather, I did some detailing using Platinum Stickles and I was all done.
Please do forgive my stamping Boo boo's. I am not very good with stamping yet and have quite a bit of shaky hands :( I seem to have messed up my bottom triangle !..Argh !!

View of the card while laying down :

Well that's it from my end ..Hope you like my card and do let me know your views. Would love to have your feed back regarding it.

World Card Making Day - Camera trend !

Hi Friends,
Wishing you all a very happy card making day. I know I am a day late but hey, it's  still 4th of October somewhere in the globe :)
My whole dashboard is filled with WCMD fun and exciting challenges and activities.and I just HAD to participate in a few of those challenges. :D
Winnie & Walter are hosting a set of six challenges which will run throughout the week and I have picked up the camera trend challenge hosted by the incredibly talented, Lea Lawson to play along.
Here's a look at my take on the challenge :

I found a totally fabulous tutorial on Pinterest on how to create a camera using the WRMK Envelope Punch Board and using the basic premise of that, I created this camera embellishment on my card. Then, using some Hero Arts Shadow Inks- Butter Bar and Soft Granite, I stamped the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine camera from the set to create my border background. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC stamp set. I have used some Studio Calico Stars Wood Veneers which have been coated with some Platinum Stickles and some black thread to create the loop.

Supplies used :
Card base- Fabriano Elle Erre.
Pattern papers- My Minds Eye On the Bright side paper pad.
Stamps -Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine stamp and die set, Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC stamp set.
Inks- Versafine Onyx Black ink pad, Hero Arts Shadow Inks- Butter Bar and Soft Granite.
Punches- Various sizes of circle punches and 3 in 1 heart punch. These are all from a company called Jef.
Splatters are created using dark blue acrylic paint, Studio Calico Stars Wood Veneers.

Challenge entered :
Thats Crafty! Challenge blog -Keep it simple
The Crafter's Cafe -Uses punches/die cuts. I have used three different sizes of circle punches to make the camera and the hearts are punch outs too.
Little Red Wagon -In stitches ( I have used faux stitching) - Featured fave!

Well that's it from me ...Hope you like my card ..Do let me know your views regarding it :)

You make me happy !

Hi friends!
I have two cards to share with you today. The first one I've made is specifically for the Imaginations Challenge. This is an absolute last minute entry. :P I recently got the new Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine stamp and die set from Lulupu and had been dying to use it but I was just not finding time during the week to create anything so this weekend, all I did was craft. :D

Here's a look at the card. ... I've clicked the photographs in two different backgrounds and couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I'm sharing both the versions here.

The first umbrella card came together er very quickly as I knew exactly what I wanted to make here. I've used a red dotted pattern paper which was a RAK from Piali ( whose generosity I will never forget. . . Thanks a lot, Piali ) and the cloud and the rain drops are stamped.

Supplies used :
White Cardstock.
Pattern paper- RAK from Piali.
Hero Arts Tide Pool ink and Distress ink- Broken China, Versafine Onyx Black ink pad.
Heart punch, Ironworks Motif Circle die.

Challenges entered :
Imaginations Anything goes with Monsoon. ( Made it to Top 3 )
Daring cardmakers :Clean and simple
Crafts for eternity - Tic tac toe( I have used the the middle row:Use a punch (the tiny hearts are punched),The color blue,Use die cuts (the umbrella is a die cut ) ( Made it to Top 3 )

My second card is a continuation of my watercolor fascination  that I had shared earlier, consider it my TAKE TWO :)

With this card too, I knew exactly what I wanted to do but at the end of it I think if I could, I would really like to change my sentiment banner but unfortunately, it's hand-stitched to the card panel and I couldn't remove it without damaging the card panel. For the background, I've first distressed certain areas of the card using Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Peacock Feathers Distress inks, then I placed the MFT Moroccan Tiles stencil on it and sprayed it with plain water and let it dry, then I spattered some drops from Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Teal and Gold Lame . LOVE them! I also used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Hottie Patottie Starburst spray and after it dried, I stamped the butterfly trail using a Inkadinkadoo stamp set. The butterfly has been clear embossed and heat set, coloured and fussy cut and is from the Lawn Fawn Flutter by stamp set.

Supplies used :
White and black cardstock.
Lawn Fawn Flutter By stamp set.
MFT Moroccan Tiles Stencil
Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Teal and Gold Lame mists, Lindy's Stamp Gang Hottie Patottie Starburst spray and  Dylusions Teal spray.

Summer fun at Lulupu!

Hi friends!
Today I am sharing with you all a CAS card based on summer theme which is our current challenge at Lulupu. I have used some really bright, happy colours for my card. And, here's a look at what I made :

I have chosen to work with Light pink, Dark pink, Yellow and Orange colour form the photo inspiration and on a embossed kraft base of the card I have placed a white embossed panel and created an ice-cream cone. Isn't it the perfect summer treat to cool off ?! :)
My sentiment banner is created with a piece of vellum strip on which I have heat embossed the sentiment using two different stamp sets and coloured it using Mustard Seed Distress ink, then secured the base of it using brads.
The scoops of ice-cream, I have created using three different colored cardstocks and a circle die for the upper round part but you can also use punches for this and a scallop square die/square punch for the bottom part and after I cut out those shapes, I embossed it with the Provocraft/Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and voila I got three different flavoured scoops of ice-cream on to my cone :D

Challenges entered :
Allsorts- No flowers
SSS -Happy Birthday
Brown Sugar -Clean and Simple
Moving along with the times -Sweet treatsMade it to Top 3 )

I would love to hear your thoughts about my card as CAS is so not my forte so I would really appreciate it if you could do drop in a line! :)

A Glittered and Stenciled Congrat's!

Hi friends!
I am back again :D And, this time I am sharing another stenciled card today. Stencils are SO in trend right now and there are so many different options of using them. The Pinterest board seems to be full of different types of stenciled card and projects and I was really inspired by Jennifer McGuire's recent post on using stencil embossing paste and embossing powders to create a glittered background. This is such a quick and easy way to make an ornate background for the cards. I really loved it a lot and this is my first try doing it. It definitely needs a lot of improvement but I just wanted to share my first trial here :)
So, here's a look :

Since, I wanted to keep the background as my main focus,I have limited my embellishing to just that one flower and a few pearls and of course the glittered strip bordering the stenciled background and the black cardstock. I  have also stamped and embossed my sentiment using silver embossing powder. The flower is handmade using punches and I have also distressed the embossed piece with Scattered Straw and Antique Linen Distress inks to co-ordinate with the golden embossing powder!

Supplies used :
Base cardstock -Fabriano Elle Erre!
MFT Fancy Flourish, Jef punches.
Stencil -Memory Box Rhapsody stencil, Sakura Acrylic Modelling Paste.
Versamark Dazzle Watermark stamp pad, Ranger Super Fine Gold and Silver Embossing powders.
Distress inks- Festive Berries, Scattered Straw, Antique Linen.
The Paper Company All Occasion messages stamp set.
Pearls and glitter strip.

Challenges entered :
Color Conceptions -Glam with Glitter ( Made it to Top 3 )
PPS -Clean and Simple
Moxie Fab World -Styling with Stencils

Hope you like my attempt at a CAS card. Any comments/suggestions are welcome :D

Hi friends,
As my title suggest  I am sharing with you all a card I have made using embossing :)....I am quite new to embossing and I have really started to enjoy the possibilities that embossing has to offer!...There seems to be so many techniques and fun ways in which embossing can be incorporated & I am just starting to explore all of them!..Here's a look at My card where  I have used White embossing against the black background...I personally love this combo & think it looks quite stunning =D ...

This card came together very quickly! as I have used the Washi Tape to create my side panel and also used the glitter strips from Pie Lane on both sides of the black Cardstock...The black cardstock is popped up on dimensions..And the sentiment is also stamped & Clear -Embossed...Those cute little hearts are punched out from the Washi Tape which I had stuck on white cardstock!

Cross My Heart :)

Hi Friends,
Doing a quick post today as I wanted to share a card I have made for this time's Tuesday Trigger at the Moxie Fab World ...Cath has  put up an very beautiful inspiration picture for this time's trigger and the moment I saw it I wanted to give it a try ...but have ended up doing it at the last minute though :( !!.... Just Have a look at their inspiration picture to know what I am talking about :

Isn't it just gorgeous :) ...Have a look at my card based on this inspiration !

I have handcut the heart and added a slight shimmer to the edges and stamped the X's using Fiskars alphabet stamps in two colors ..Then die cut a window and embossed the white panel using Marraine designables folder and have scored the blue  background   paper  behind using a score board to reflect the wood grain in the chair  in the inspiration  picture... Lastly stamped the sentiment with distress ink   and added  an mulberry flower to complete the card:) ...Making a CAS card after ages ...But I felt this inspiration would not look good with layer's that I generally use in my cards ..And believe me it was tough restraining myself from adding more embellies here :)

Supplies Used :
Base Cardstock :Stash
Die :Spellbinder's Label 3 die
Embossing Folder :Marrianne designable's Embossing Folder (Daisy )
Stamps :Fiskar's alphabet stamp,Hero Arts Good Friends Set,

Two Cards and a Tag !

Hi friends,
How's everyone been. With the WCMD just gone, I am sure many of you must have created a lot of lovely stuff :) So today I am sharing with you 2 cards. I have made one card for the WCMD Challenge which I have shared on FB as well and another recent card and a tag too. So here's a picture of each of them :-

Well, this card I have already shared on Facebook and I have made it to play along with Let's Get Trendy Now - 2. This is entered for the Day Four- Die Cuts /Punches Challenge

The second card :-

And this card is also entered for the Let's Get Trendy Now - Day 2- Household Supplies - I have used tissue paper to make this rosette and what's more, I am sharing a short tutorial on how I made it...But as you know, tutorials are picture heavy so here goes...Please bear with me :)
For the supplies, I have taken a tissue paper with a nice background design, a masking tape, a piece of white cardstock and the usual scissors, glue and a Scoring Board.

Step 1 : Stick the masking tape over the tissue paper on an entire length. Mine came approximately 12 inches and I then cut out the masking tape on the both sides keeping the tissue paper below. You will notice a nice design will emerge through the transparency of the tape.

Step 2 : After cutting out the tape, take a long white cardstock and glue the masking tape to it with the tissue side facing down.

Step 3 :  It will look like this after it's glued and cut.

Step 4 : Using a Scoring Board, start scoring lines every quarter inch along the tape.

This is how it will look after its done. And for those of you who want to know the complete instructions on how to make this flower, you can check it out on YouTube HERE

And now the tag :-
I am entering this tag for the Lets Get Trendy Now 2 - Day One Washi Tape. I have used faux washi. That is, I have stamped on the masking tape to create this look

Hope you all like my work. But as you can see, this is a long post so I am not listing the supplies used here. But if you have any queries regarding any products, just leave me a comment and I will definitely get back to you :)

Challenges entered :
1. Sir Stampalot Challenge : Punch away.
2. Unstampabelles : Recycling or Repurposing : Made flower with tissue paper on my second card.
3. The Craft Place : Make your own background (stamped lace background on the first card)
