Sending love your way!

Hello friends!
I am back again with my second take on the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. Like I said earlier, these colors are challenging to me and I really wanted to give it a second try. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this version of my card and I hope you all will like it too. I also wanted to let you know that I am going on a short vacation and this is a scheduled post . Will catch up with you all once I am back :) You can check out my first card HERE.

This one was quite simple to create. For the flowers, I used the Altenew Peony Scrolls set and heat embossed them in white on some Canson watercolour paper. I colored them using my newest buy - The Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens. Yayyyy! :)
For the leaves and flourishes, I used the Altenew Lacy Scrolls stamp set & Altenew Dark Chocolate ink. I then fussy-cut them out. I did some light stenciling on the background using a Tim Holtz stencil and adhered all my elements on some foam tape. I used the Sentiments & Quotes set (this is now my all time favorite set!) for the sentiment which was also heat embossed in white. And like every card of mine, this couldn't be finished without using some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some black paint splatters :)

I hope you like my card. Do leave a comment telling me if you did :)
Thanks for stopping by!

You are amazing | Card

Hello all!
Today I have a card which I've made for this time's Altenew Inspiration Challenge hosted by Yoonsun Hur. I'll be honest with you, the colours for this month's challenge are totally out of my comfort zone. I have never played around with browns much so this one was quite challenging for me, but I took the plunge & here is what I've created :

To create this card, I took an A2 card panel & did some ink blending using Altenew Dark Chocolate ink and I wanted to create a slightly ombre effect. I also spritzed water over it and then used a tissue paper to absorb the colour from the areas where the water was to create a bleached effect on paper. Next, I die-cut some scalloped frames and then embossed it using my WRMK Next Level Embossing Folder- Geometric & Darice Woodgrain folder. The frames were then coloured using Vintage Photo Distress ink.  The florals are from my newest favourite set - Vintage Roses and I have used Altenew inks in shades of yellows & browns to stamp my flowers & leaves. For the sentiment, I have used the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes set which was heat embossed in white on plain white cardstock & then coloured using the Altenew Caramel Toffee ink. Finished off my card by adding some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I am also playing along Darnell's NBUS Challenge. I have not gone with the technique she asked us to try, but I do have lot of NBUS products on this card - The clear sequins from PPP, the MFT frames. Also these colours are something I have never tried before.

That's it from my side today! I will see you soon with another card in few days. I hope you liked my today's card, I would love to know what you think about it. Thanks for dropping by :)

Guest Post | Paru's Card Making Challenges

Hello fellow crafters,
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year 2017!
I'm so glad to be joining Paru's challenge as a Guest Designer today. It's an absolute honour to be invited. I love playing along with her challenges. They are always so interesting.

I have created a card and two tags for the challenge this month. I wanted them to look like a set, so I have used the same stamp set & colour combinations for all of them. I wanted the sentiments to be generic so as to be given as a gift set.

To create my card, I have used the Altenew Painted Flowers set. I also used Altenew inks for coloring. I stamped & die-cut the flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies. This made my work so much more easier. Then I die-cut a panel using a Paper Smooches Border die to create a frame. The sentiment comes from another Altenew set- Label Love. I added few black paint splatters & silver stars and sequins for the finishing touches.

To create my tags, I have used the Lawn Fawn - Tag You're It stamp & coordinating die set to stamp and die-cut the tags. I gold embossed the outline of one of the tags to add some extra interest. I used the Altenew Painted Flowers set for the flowers and the sentiment is from the same Lawn Fawn set. I added few Nuvo Crystal dots to embellish it a bit and tied some silver & gold mesh ribbon along with thin black ribbon to finish them off!

I'm entering my card in the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I'm playing along with Amy's June Challenge.

Please visit Paru's blog and don't forget to play along her challenge. I would love to hear what you think about my card & tags!

Thank you so much for dropping by!
